I am attempting to find a link to at least one of these tweets.
Edit: The tweets seem to be deleted.

She's the current head editor of the Portland Mercury. The former head editor (whos shes friends with) is taking part in the protest. They are friends with another Oregan Newspaper. Also she is the talking head on CNN.

And apparently NPR doesn't like Andy either.

I hate the fact that we've become more anonymous than actual "Anonymous"
Nah, it's great that the spirit of the OG anonymous lives on in places like the farms while its all but died out on the chans, not to mention all the phoney "le epic guy fawkes mask anonymoose" accounts on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and elsewhere.

Why isn't he going to protests in blac bloc? He'd be indistinguishable from antifas.
Prolly cause he doesn't wanna get curbstomped by the Feds. Honestly he should just go incognito and try to look like any Asian guy, Antifa won't know the difference. I mean they already flipped out on some random Asian guy who they mistook for him. That was hilarious.

It's not safe to be Asian around antifa lunatics, though. They'll attack him for just being Asian.

Helicopter? Recon possibly or more agents?
That pipe bomb may have changed the rules of engagement. Could just be that they're doing extremely detailed surveillance now. There's a dude in all orange starting fires, throwing mortars, and spray painting the barricades. He's taken his mask off so many times that anyone recording this stuff already has his face plastered everywhere. Woke chat was commenting a bunch on how it looked like he was wearing a different color set of clothes under it so he could switch out quickly. They discussed how smart a tactic it was until he dropped his mask on 3 streams. They've ignored his existence since.

cause it really wasn't a useful weapon.
they (and other nations at the same time) used it in WW1 mostly in an experimental setting. the ability to produce and deploy large quantities of chemical agents was relatively new and exciting, and they saw lots of soldiers sitting in deadlocked trenches at the front, so they figured that flooding the trenches with gas would be a good way to smoke them out (literally) to enable their own guys to storm and take over the enemy positions.
well it didn't really work out as planned. sure it killed and maimed a lot of soldiers, but it was super clunky and inaccurate, and very hard to control, with huge potential for friendly fire. also it wasn't nearly as effective at clearing trenches and dispersing the enemy as they had hoped, especially after the widespread adoption of gas masks, so the overall conclusion was that this shit just isn't worth the trouble.

now add to that the fact that ww2 battlefields weren't about massive numbers of infantry sitting in trenches, but about fast moving motorized forces and tanks with air support, plus lots of urban combat, and it becomes pretty obvious that gas attacks will be nearly useless. that's why it was abandoned and never picked up again on a large scale.
Also, after WWI the Geneva Convention was ratified which explicitly forbade the use of chemical weaponry. The european nations signed it in the 20s and 30s, while the US and Japan only signed in 1970 and 1975 respectively.
Japan used toxins several times during WWII, mostly against the Chinese, but in Europe it was not used. There were a few incidents were chemical agents were released, but no explicit combat use. The armies knew that if they violated the Geneva Convention, there'd be heavy reprisal and counter attacks with gas and so on, so it was just not seen as worth it. Of course, since there was no trench warfare and WWI-like situations the use of gas would have been limited, but for example the Siege of Sevastopol or Stalingrad could have benefitted, if all involved hadn't decided against it.

So a lot of people wonder, who are these "moms"?

Well tonight one of them who is credited as a founder was talking to the press.

Bev Barnum is a social media marketing maven and marathoner whose more mundane trade is medical assistant, aka the person who asks you if you smoke every time you go to the doctor.

She has been all over the media as the "moms" spokesperson, pushing the points of being Latina, a simple mom of two, and wanting to show that the protests were not riots.

She claims credit for the idea of using "mom bods" to shield the rioters and claims that they are stopping them from damaging property (not doing a very good job of it) :

She REALLY pushes the whole "just a simple mom" thing:

How do you feel about the current uprisings around the world against police brutality? What role do moms have in this struggle? What drove you to organize this?

You know, there’s a viral video of two police officers grabbing a protester and putting him in an unmarked minivan. Watching that as a mom….It’s the bully syndrome. A mom recognizes a bully when she sees him on the playground. After figuring out if this was even real, it was evident that the federal officers and the Portland police officers are, in fact, the bullies. They are the rioters. So I had to do something.

Which makes it noteworthy that brand building is kind of her whole thing, professionally:

Looks like the word on Andy Ngo is spreading around. I check the link on the commenters, the same type of middle upper class internet grifters from city centers and well to do suburbs, every time.

She has it wrong. Blackwater (or people just like them) are the ones who will be doing the policing when the police are abolished.
Pl
China in 2020 is finishing what the Uighurs started in 2008.

People are awful quick to forget that there was an Al-Qaeda Affilate and an ISIS affilate group operating out there blowing shit up and murdering Han Chinese colonists who were settling in places nobody fucking previously lived.

Unlike the West, where these incidents get memory holed, bread and circuses are thrown quickly, or we simply stutter out "not all Muslims" the Chinese decided they didn't like their stuff being fucked with by backwards ass morons with bombs following an un-updated philosophy from the 7th century.

So they imprisoned anyone vaguely influential.

They play endless redecuation propaganda at them.

Oh and you can only eat rations with pork in.

Anything cultural is being erased and removed from schools.

Religious gatherings are now severely curtailed.

And there's probably a few big ass graves out there for people that still don't get the message.

We tend to bank up problems in the West till it's almost too late to solve them. Chinese are simply nipping the problem in the bud so far as they're concerned.
There is also the inconvenient lil fact that it's not a religion or anti-muslim thing. The Uyghurs aren't the only muslim minority in China, they aren't even the largest. The Hui people are the largest muslim group who are ethnically Han Chinese who are peaceful and want to actually assimilate into Chinese society. The Hui also don't commit terrorist acts, mass knife attacks, don't have people joining ISIS or other extremist groups and aren't trying to break away and form their own country. Hui people are well-liked and sorta the model-minority over there.

China is heavy-handed as fuck, horrible PR and a gross violation of human rights, but don't think there isn't a some legit cause behind the Uyghur oppression. With recent events there may be something to nipping extremist nonsense in the bud before it festers. The crackdown is political, not religious. Bend the knee and you'll be no more oppressed than anyone else.
