Something Awful LLC is still listed on the state of Missouri's website as being owned by Lowtax. Any change of ownership will be reflected in the public documents. Basic info about the company is free, but the state charges a fee for copies of some of the public documents.

If Lowtax ever sells it, the new owner will be listed as the registered agent. Lowtax and Jeff won't be able to lie about if it's been sold or not since they are required to update that information with the state where the corporation is registered.

They don't have to transfer the LLC itself. Jeffrey of YOSPOS could start his own LLC and they could just transfer all the assets of SA LLC (let's pretend it has some) to Jeff LLC. SA LLC would still exist but wouldn't own anything, and you wouldn't really be able to tell from the outside that anything had changed.

Similarly, LowT could create some entity like a trust and transfer all of SA LLC's assets to his own entity, then sell SA LLC to Jeff, so even a transfer of the LLC's ownership really wouldn't prove LowT doesn't still have an ownership interest.

im going to petition congress to pass a resolution denouncing lowtax and "goons". despite it being a toothless gesture i think its time for congress to at least go "on the record" (ill file the FOIA request)

The FBI should declare "goons" a criminal organization, like they did to juggalos.

Yeah, save for a few copyrights/trademarks that would require a transfer that could be seen through the respective offices. Then again we're assuming they're doing anything right

Lol if you think the sale is going to happen

In three months time goons will have moved on and any mention of the sale or the lowtax allegations will earn you a probe or a ban.

See: the new groupthink about reene

While I appreciate the theorycrafting, lol if anyone thinks LowT would possibly go through the trouble of doing any of that

Jeffrey has spoken from the start about SA's assets being transferred to him, so he may not be buying the LLC.

There are definitely ways this can be done without it ever being clear whether Lowtax is continuing to receive income from the forums.

Yeah, nothing is going to get transferred to anyone. It would take about a day to draft a paper that states the domain, server infra and existing content are all sold for the price of X. Or a day to draft a paper where Lowtax sells 100% of the stock and the buyer assures he knows what he is buying. But these fuckwits are not going to buy or sell anything. It is just another drama game they are playing.

I mean really. Who wants to buy a domain for $150,000 or whatever the mentioned sum was in the year of our Lord 2020? Hardware is nigh worthless, the software is a pile of shit and the customers are not paying a monthly fee. What are you even buying, 20 years of FYAD posts?

Jeffrey is (was) buying the communityyyy he would literally go to actual war for

He was buying goons their freedom!

They will always look upon Jeffrey as their savior, their Lincoln, their emancipator!

Right up until they already started turning on him before the sale even became serious lol

Lets not pretend goons aren't hypocrites who don't do terrible degenerate shit and then turn around and moralize to others about not doing said things they do behind closed doors.

Lowtax has reopened FYAD.

I seriously doubt they’ll be able to get around this in any way, either. In general, states want to have public records available as to who is actually behind each business and fictitious name in the state, so there’s more than just an empty building to pursue if a company does some nasty shit. There are ways to get around exposing your home address as the business address if you don’t have an office, but you generally can’t run a business and remain completely anonymous.
Well that's where you're wrong. The CIA has done it for decades and this was how they were able to build the SR-71 in the first place by the way.

Ah yes, the Central Intelligence Agency's methodology on keeping TOPSEC NOFORN black projects hidden from public view is applicable here.

He really can't, all ghe can do is put layers on the filter so to speak, but if he owns a company, regardless of the limited liability it may carry, at the very least, his name has to be made available upon a FOIA request

not sure if that is entirely true, you can use a registered agent service to obscure who exactly owns a LLC. you would also need to cough up the articles of incorporation to see if the LLC is member managed vs. manager managed.

It is hysterical how many goons don't seem to understand how someone with admin access to the database can do whatever the fuck they want on a website.

"Why can't you close the thread? Can't you hellban him? Someone stop him!!" :stress:
