Is anyone who claims to want surgery ever actively discouraged from having it done based on assessments or criteria, or is it a free-for-all?

An (adult) acquaintance of mine just got the surgery and has been blogging the whole thing. Functionality was discussed and his doctor has assured him that he will have all the good sexy feelings in a few months. There was very little oversight and from what I hear, the only people who tried to talk him out of it were already opposed to him being trans, so he dismissed them out of hand. The surgeon he went with is new to doing the precedure and her reddit reviews complained that she always say everything looks "Great! Beautiful! Perfect!" even if the patients are unhappy with their results.

Noelle's dead eyes remind me a lot of Onision's flat sociopathic stare. I don't think Noelle is a sociopath but he def gives of bipolar narc vibes. Essentially high levels of self-importance and very low levels of empathy towards other people. He clearly didn't give a shit about any of Jazz's antics nor does he seem to care about anyone that isn't a trans communist.

I'm sort of horrified that I know this, but as I understand it, they take the end of the penis and move it into the upper end of the inner neovagina tube where the cervix ought to be. Supposedly, if everything goes well, you can still orgasm. EDIT: Because people are still reading this, I think it's more likely that the head of the penis ends up... um... like... at the front of the vagina where the clit is supposed to be? There's an animated video linked below.

I'm not really expecting everything to go well... but that's the story they've sold him.

I know there are different procedures & that they flip it inside so that part of the “top” technically ends up being at the “end” of the pocket, but I’ve never ever heard of it functioning like this?? Has anybody else here? I’ve only seen the head turned into a weird mutant “clit”

I wish legitimate trans people had better options, or that actual surgical reassignment construction was possible. SRS is still very much in its infancy and likely will be for eons until groundbreaking sex-change technology is invented. A lot of poor people are going to suffer and be told to shut up about their regret and pain. It's not fair.

"Still orgasm" is a bit misleading. The orgasms are greatly reduced because the majority of nerves are destroyed then there is also the fact that hrt makes it harder to orgasm. Also to be able to do it you need to have the ability to orgasm in the first place. That means boys like Jazz who never went through puberty are never going to have even a tiny orgasm.

There used to be required assessments and criteria. It used to be required that you sought counselling for a year prior to srs, that you lived as the gender at least 6 months to a year prior to surgery. Children would never be put on puberty blockers, etc. Truthfully if your not gonna pass pre puberty your not gonna pass post puberty either. Hence what you see in Jazz, nothing was going to make him pass.

But these types of doctors don't care about that and they and places like Mermaids fought to make this to be deemed transphobic.

Every day I begin to doubt more and more the existence of "legitimate" trans people. If they exist, they make up less than a percentage of the overall trans population.

Noelle's face looks fine. He looks like a normal young man with (sorta silly) braids. If he got therapy for his ptsd from being involved in a school shooting instead of surgery and reality-tv fueled turbo-autism, there's a chance he could've turned out ok.
Instead he marinated in his mental illness and got worse and worse.
The tragedy is that there was nothing physically wrong with Noelle, and you can still almost see how'd he would've turned out as a normie.

The sad thing, troonery is so politicized that it's virtually impossible to have any scientifically sound studies done on it. Perhaps people with gender dysphoria can be treated by altering their brains instead of altering their bodies. We wouldn't know, because pharmaceutical companies and Leftists stand to profit so much from HRT and surgery, that they'll never let other avenues be pursued.

Having gotten myself hurt pretty bad couple times, I can say that having an open wound isn't necessarily painful in and off itself. What definately DOES hurt is shoving something into the wound. Say, for an example, some kind of a plastic phallic objec-
