Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

i mean, 2004 teen titans and avatar the last airbender are the only western animations i can think of at the moment that had an animesque art style. they were both pretty nice to look at imo. no offense but you kinda sound like a weeaboo here
Nah, I'm talking about things like fan artists with a Steven Universe style that just draw big, sparkly eyes and call it anime inspired. Posers, so to say. They just draw art of series just to lure in legit fans in hopes they'll follow them on Twitter or Instagram.
Or as we've seen 1000s of times, draw light-skinned Japanese characters into purposely ugly caricatures for diversity sakes and not for the love of the franchise.

I know we talked about Chihiro earlier, but do people still HC Felix Argyle as a transwoman? Or was just limited to anime pfps on Twitter?

Apparently they’re still doing the “I’m not like other girls” schtick.

The bottom one looks like it could’ve been a goth girl, instead of a Tumblr-like chick.

I threw together some of the SJW art indicators mentioned earlier, all in one handy guide!

(I'm in a bit of a hurry right now, but I'll revise it at some point if there's more suggested.)

lol why is it that people think they are so "quirky" and "different" just by not acting like a normal girl

it just makes you look odd and an outcast, take that other blue haired girl on this thread as an example

They take features that don't really make sense on a character and cram it on
Body hair would look aesthetically better on, let's say, an older man/woman, probably workers or bodybuilders of some sort.
The same thing goes for fat and such due to younger people (most commonly seen having fat in sjw art) not having a developed enough body (17~ is when you start growing body fat in substantial amounts, while most characters they draw are at least 14.)
Vitiligo isn't throwing splotches of white skin randomly to make them look like The Human Cow, its gradual loss of pigmentation so it's going to be uneven and messy sometimes instead of perfect shapes.
Stylistically, I think the "tumblr sjw style" noses would be cuter on simpler drawings/figures like Animal Crossing villagers or mii's, instead of legitimate humans. Sausage mouth is just lazy, go back to California.

honestly i like characters with big noses, im kind of tired of the super small, button nose that every character must have in order to be cute. even though i dont like the anime attack on titan, i can appreciate how they gave characters different noses other than the standard small anime nose

but once artists color the noses tomato red, then it's just ugly.

I think that Wadanohara fanart posted earlier here is actually a good example of varied facial features done right. It's not ~anime~ but it looks inspired by the style while retaining the artist's western influences. I dig artists who can pull that off nicely.

I think they've been posted here before, but...blobby comics
