Watched episode 1 of Deca-dence. Obviously this is just the setup episode and we don't know where it will head but it seems like it's going to be an entertaining action flick about fighting monsters. That setup about humanity almost being extinct from a monster invasion and gathering in a (mobile) fortress is kinda overdone now, but it works.

I recently just finished The Gregory Horror Show. I have been meaning to finish it for about seven years now, but the fourth season was not up on YouTube at the time unlike the first three. Honestly, the show was really good, but the more it delved into the side of comedy, the more it sort of lost its luster. The first season is fantastic and comes out to roughly an hour for those interested (2-5 min long episodes), season 2 ruined the mystery and tried being more comedic which made it worse than season 1, season 3 changed the formula yet was still able to be really good in its own way, and four was okay.

Have never played the video game due to being an American, but am interested in emulating it or killing myself to try to get a real physical copy as I heard the game is a fantastic Resident Evil styled horror game.

I really liked the episode, it felt like a good balance between wackiness and honest world building, with some imaginative twists like aliens being spread with humanity and the cannon being a jackhammer.
Also a very good heroine.

So I went on the high sea and "got" the Gundam tv shows and now I'm looking for the side material in the franchise (mangas and novels) and so I'm wondering if anyone knows where to find reliable/fast torrents/downloads of those? https://nyaa.si/ doesn't have really good torrents for that stuff

this season is very disappointing no new shit just continuations

Not really this season, but at least The Great Pretender seems alright (though I've only watched the first three episodes).

Personally I'm watching Re:Zero, Uzaki-chan, and those two korean series. They're alright, but nothing worth recommending.

So here's the trailer for episode 3 of Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki Season 5:

It will premiere August 28.

What the fuck did they do to their designs?!

Unless they're from Tenchi GXP or War on Geminar (I haven't seen them yet but the names aren't matching up), these are completely new characters, but they look hideous in contrast with the rest of the look of the anime. It's like they got a second newcomer art director to come up with character designs and then made sure they weren't in the same room with the original art director during production.

To make matters worse, the main show I was looking forward to this season, Masaaki Yuasa's adaptation of Japan Sinks, turned out to be a huge disappointment. Coupled with just a paltry amount of shows airing this season, the only things I really have to look forward to each week are Re:Zero and Oregairu. Guess it's time to dig into the backlog!

Has anybody watched Japan Sinks? Apparentally it really stinks, which is incredibly dissapointing to hear since its Yuasa. I've watched a lot of his stuff and I've liked them, especially Ping Pong, though I'll admit that Eizouken was simply alright and I took Ride Your Wave as more of a tragic comedy.

Edit: well shit, ninja'd.

The fact people out there are saying a Yuasa show fucking sucks makes me cackle with slight vindication on the inside. Dude can only do so much with his directing skills and only has really one style, I realized this with Night Is Short, Walk on Girl, and Lu Over the Wall is like his most overlooked work next to Kick-Heart and I don't blame anyone for doing so. He's not the animation god people constantly make him out to be.
