#TransPeopleAreRealPeople is trending (in the UK) to show how they just want to live their super normal lives in peace. Don't know if my matrix glitched but this is what came up when I looked at the tag. Not cherry picked - more like shooting fish in a barrel.
All these amazing and brave women in STEM.

Not saying jobs or skills/interests are sexed, ie all women are creative and all men are analytical. But it's simply a fact that STEM attracts more men and the arts attract more women. To see a majority of these people pick fields that are traditionally associated with their birth sex is....telling.

Troons are really over represented in engineering/CS/IT. Most men aren’t engineers.

Big agree. This bleeds over into hobbies as well, the amount of troons in traditionally male hobbies should be eyebrow-raising or at least kickstart a few gears in people's heads. Top hobbies from reading a thread on r/mtf: video games, playing an instrument (bass or guitar are the most common), sports (rugby and football being most notable), smoking weed, electronics-related stuff, anime, and tabletop games. The most common responses seem to be a mixture of normie hobbies ("smoking weed, sports") or just straight up degen life ("I play a lot of video games and watch anime"). There are a few sad comments talking about not having hobbies, or ambitions, or anything. Depressing. Meanwhile, googling ftm hobbies brings up some combination of ftms worrying about not having masculine hobbies and being into stuff like interior design, crafting, art, knitting, journaling, etc. Literally all of the threads I could find were some form of stressing over not having masculine hobbies, and people asspatting the OP that it's ~because of socialization~ and ~hobbies aren't gendered~. But god forbid you say mtfs are socialized as men or ftms as women, lol.

A pretty soul-crushing thread I did find was this:

Troonery really is a black hole for anything good and positive, RIP.

Pointing out that mtfs frequently infest spaces that are mostly or almost entirely male-dominated (MtG, speedrunning communities, competitive gaming communities, fighting game communities, etc.) shouldn't be taken as saying that interests or hobbies or jobs are inherently sexed, but rather that there is a pretty strong disparity between the common troonism that they're just born in the wrong bodies when they practically embody stereotypes/gender norms for their sex. A 6'4" transbian who's into smoking pot and vidya isn't really any different, materially, from your average straight gamer dude, but cognitive dissonance and all that.

I dunno if it qualifies for sideshows but I sometimes search de-transitioning on youtube out of curiosity. Earlier this year and before that this particular section of youtube was fairly barren with only a few videos scattered here and there and many of them were from troon youtubers mocking the concept. Lately, it's been growing, and frankly the amount of FtMtF when you search this is one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

Question for the gentlemen on here.
So I am in a number of Facebook groups that are very female-interest (baby names, wedding dresses, that sort of thing) and there have been multiple times recently where I clocked a poster as FTM solely by their name, and was proven correct when I clicked on their profile. Does that happen to you? Are you suspicious when you see ‘Zoey Alice’ in a programming group?

That is not surprising at all. FtM are extremely vulnerable to grooming and peer pressure. You very rarely read about MtF detransitioning, probably because so many of them are fueled by AGP instead of social matters, but I've been seeing articles for years now about the sheer amount of FtM detransitioning far too late and regretting their decisions. The common thread in all those stories, though? They get caught up on the groupthink, lose all social support nets outside of the trans community, and only leave when they have or witness a traumatic experience, or someone from the outside works really hard to get through to them.

I'm in engineering. Anyone saying they're a woman, but without a "common" name (or with a flower-based name) immediately clocks as MTF to me.

There’s more detrans MTF than you think.

I'm sure there are! I just don't see them, so I can't talk about them! On Youtube at least I mostly see stories of girls detransitioning. Same with the more academic publications I occasionally stumble into. Maybe they just don't care about men losing function to their junk after going on estrogen, compared to women chopping off their tits.

You aren't even seeing a many troons in stem fields with a lot of women, like biology. It's almost always the ones that are highly male dominated like engineering and IT.

I honestly feel very bad for girls going into male-dominated stem fields, when most of their "female" peers are troons. I imagine it has to hurt a little to be the young woman in a computer science class who gets seated next to the sweaty guy wearing cat ears and programmer socks

The issue with the AGP/HSTS dichotomy is that it is missing the new third kind of autist troon, who may be legitimately bisexual, who is not good with women, and who was an outcast for much of his life. While he is a fetishist, he is also deeply uncomfortable with his body and life and wants to fit in and have friends in a way that is not applicable to the classic AGP.

I know a super feminine bisexual guy who transitioned & is mainly attracted to women. He isn't a fetishist and if you didn't know him you would think he is hsts.

There is also Greg "Gigi" Gorgeous who is a huge flamer but fell in love with a wonan & they are still together.

Theryn Meyer complained that lesbian women don't want to date him

Jazz Jennings wanted to date a girl but she rejected him

I think bisexual men can either be like hsts or agps.

Then there is also the fact that gay men can be agp-like too.

I'm so fucking done with this timeline. He even still uses "he" pronouns! At first I thought he was an obvious troll, but his posts go back so far I have to believe he's serious. And literally thousands of people reblog his goddamn posts with "omg I'm so gay for her!" Motherfucker, you're a straight girl and he's a man! Are people really so face-blind that they think Chad Matthew Broderick over here is a woman?

Almost guaranteed most of those "gay" people are bi, hets in denial, or other mtf troons. To be completely fair to him, he almost passes in the first pic; it might be the angle, but without looking closely you could almost believe he's a butch/masc woman. Little things (head size, neck thickness, thicc wrists, shoulders:hip ratio, etc.) do tip you off if you're looking, but I've seen/met butch women who look surprisingly similar to the first picture. The second picture is undeniably a dude though (dat beard shadow), so I can't give the benefit of the doubt to any ~totes lesbian~ tumblrites sucking his ladydique. Fuck this gay earth.

It's obviously Facetune or Photoshop. Dude smoothed away stubble at the very least. Add an ill-fitting bra and some chicken cutlets to the bottom picture, and that's what he probably looks like IRL.

Being a total noob to digital photo editing, this was pretty informative, thanks. It is horrifying to contemplate what some of these troons look like irl when even their edited photos give you pause for thought.

And they wonder why people don't want to be friends with them. Imagine having to deal with someone who will not only threaten to commit suicide if you accidentally use the wrong pronoun, but also the wrong pronoun changes every month! Whooops, Emily, don't you keep track of my gender cycle? I'm a girl now. Suck the girldick, but hurry up because when the full moon comes I'll be a boy again, and you're a lesbian so obviously you don't want a boy's dick in your mouth am I right?
