I ask you to prove something because I think enough of you as a person to assume that you can back up what's being said. I'm making the assumption that you're a reliable source and that I can put my trust in you. I ask for proof because I value what you say, and am sure a person as bright as yourself can make a reasoned, concrete point.

If I'm mistaken on that, just keep posting pictures of your cleavage. Thanks.

We can listen to a woman and still question them. We can listen and not believe since many of us would want proof so we know we aren't being given lies and false testimonies, especially when said lies actually hurt other people, be it male or female.

Or of course, people lie all the time so it's important to make sure they're not lying.

The Onion takes a shot at the rapidly growing cancer that is college groupthink.
The Onion said:
BOSTON—Saying that such a dialogue was essential to the college’s academic mission, Trescott University president Kevin Abrams confirmed Monday that the school encourages a lively exchange of one idea. “As an institution of higher learning, we recognize that it’s inevitable that certain contentious topics will come up from time to time, and when they do, we want to create an atmosphere where both students and faculty feel comfortable voicing a single homogeneous opinion,” said Abrams, adding that no matter the subject, anyone on campus is always welcome to add their support to the accepted consensus. “Whether it’s a discussion of a national political issue or a concern here on campus, an open forum in which one argument is uniformly reinforced is crucial for maintaining the exceptional learning environment we have cultivated here.” Abrams told reporters that counseling resources were available for any student made uncomfortable by the viewpoint.

I dunno about that, bro, but when someone makes claims of harassment and persecution, I usually want evidence to back that up.
"RAPE CULTURE! Don't you know cross-examining the victim is like making her experience rape a second time? You're as bad as the rapist! You misogynist shitlord"

I literally just googled that to make sure it wasn't a joke.
Look, if the first thing you think when you see a dog is "I bet he's gonna put his dick in me", then you have issues that extend waaaay beyond a mascot. I'd say this controversy calls the student into suspicion more than the mascot. I don't know what kind of place you gotta be in to immediately think about rape when you see a dog, but I do know they probably have medication for it.

She just can't stop picturing that big, masculine dog pinning her down in a dark alley. His dog breath overwhelming her senses as it mounts her. No, she screams, but in her mind her deepest fantasy is fulfilled. All her life she had fantasized about having sex with a dog, why even a drawing of a dog had provoked strong, primal urges within her. Tonight would be her night. She'd wear her peanut butter perfume and carry her purse shaped like a cat; no dog would be able to resist.

i honestly was about to say the only reason she said the logo was rape because she honestly wanted to have a dog fuck her, and wanted the logo out so she wouldn't accidentally say it-
no wait-
it's not that she wants.. it's that she already has
oh my fucking god

Dear body positive male feminist,
Allow me to explain that I do care about myself, but I also care about others and some of them are men. Not men like you, however. They're not passive-aggressive boot-lickers or cronies. Since you seem to like sarcasm so much let me just say how nice it was of you to call me, a female, unattractive. You hurt my feelings :(

Sincerely,
Furina

P.S. If I asked you to come be my footstool for a few hours you'd do it. You wouldn't want to be misogynist, would you?

anti-feminist != anti-female rights
This idea needs to be more widespread. Feminists should not have a monopoly on promoting women's rights, nor should they have the sole voice in deciding what women's rights are. It's not a simple topic, nor should it be limited to one particular "club". It's actually very arrogant to think that a self-imposed label can authorize you to speak on behalf of 50% of the population.
