Oh they totally would. And could you really blame them? I'm not LDS, but brew up around Mormons. Dietary and lifestyle restrictions aside, some of the habits I picked up on from my Mormon friends (saving 10% of my income, planning on allowing extra food in storage at home, not buying it if I cannot afford it outright unless it's a car, education or home, and physical exercise, and stuff like that) really have stood me in good stead as an adult


And let's face it: Anyone who wants to get sucked down the "get spooged up, be a single parent, spend money like a fucking cretin, and expect gibs to fix it all" could take a leaf out their book as well.


Honestly, the state everything is going, the LDS Church Members I know are weathering the storm far better than most I know.

And even now, years later, I still get christmas cards from one woman, and her now Husband in particular, signed by them and their kids (and the family pets, it's cute AF)


As you say, they maintain community, but they never let a good turn go unrewarded or a slight unpunished. Also, funeral potatoes. JFC. It almost makes the funerals worth it.

The only Mormon's I really don't trust are the Glow-in-the-Dark ones in the CIA, they have very quietly inserted a lot of people into a lot of intelligence and military related positions. Most of them of them are good people and they did give us John Moses Browning, who may as well be the patron saint of American Firearms.

The Witnesses would be like all the rapture types, that's their End of Days prep, so they might just end it.
