This is why you won't ever see a star as big and monetized as PDP again. The whole point of a platform like YouTube, from a corporate standpoint, is being able to pay a pittance to totally powerless and dependent content creators, instead of dealing with actors and crews that have real demands, are unionized, and are beloved by enough fans that they can sway public opinion.

When a YouTube star gets "fuck you money," you get PDP. A content creator who can survive the accusations that can be used to destroy lesser mortals is the nightmare scenario for execs.

Hello! I'm [Matt] Perez!

I'm the co-creator of "The Pervert ". I'm a writer, essayist and sometimes editor.

Presently I'm basically in between side jobs that one gets in between paid publishing jobs. The creative arts are generally unstable and not prone to consistent things like:

-unions or anything that falls under general collective bargaining like say,
-job benefits
-a regular salary or competitive pay

So you'll do factory work, or telecommuting gigs. I'm still looking and applying for work and having a bit of trouble doing so, while coming against the common threats of looming bills and rent right now.

Looking for work while being transgender is this country is uh, in so many words, a fucking crapshoot. That said, I'm sticking with it and endeavoring to get ahead despite whatever difficulties

This acts as a boon to keep me in that struggle and to a place where I have a regular side job while I pursue my passion as a writer!

If you don't wanna give or whatever, I understand! Although if you could circulate this I'd still appreciate it a great deal, as it'd be very helpful given how rough this month has been!

I read it, it made no sense but the art was better looking than what I remember The Pervert looking like. Also that description is bullshit, nothing really happens in the book. An honest description would be: Tranny and female trainwreck awkwardly try to socialize, grow shrooms, be depressed and do drugs. Its a bizarre read tbh, it doesnt seem like a time piece but everything is dated as hell. Shit like MySpace and LiveJournal are name dropped throughout the book.

Matt was recently spotted interacting with Kevin Gibes on Bluesky. I'd almost forgotten about him after he got kicked off Twitter. I guess he feels emboldened to come back out of the woodwork now that all the troons have abandoned Twitter/X for Bluesky.
