I have both German and Italian genes in me. That alone would make the idiots of TV Tropes despise me and call me a Nazi.
 
FWIW, there's historical documentation of Columbus and his brothers enslaving the natives. But it wasn't to the extent of killing everyone in sight; it was essentially a feudal system of mining.
 
They seriously think "communists killed more people than Nazis" is a neo-Nazi talking point? In literally no world is that true outside of the tankie world where Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot were heroic saviors of their country who didn't kill anyone. Even other literal communists will add up a death toll much bigger than Hitler. Shit, attribute the entirety of WWII to Hitler sure, but don't forgot to attribute the casualties caused in basically every civil war and insurgency in the third world to communism since the vast majority were started in part or entirely by communists, even if they were revolting against utterly shit dictators.

Not to mention Bolshevik commissars intentionally killing between 5 and 10 million people in Ukraine years before WWII even began.

That's because you have people - some of whom are indeed neo-Nazis - who vastly over-exaggerate the numbers. When people give off, say, 100 million as a number they often do that by including, say, all the Nazis killed in WWII as victims of Communism.

The actual numbers are still pretty goddamn high, but by exaggerating, they make it seem like small potatoes and do no one a favor.
 
What? really? I mean I enjoy looking up TV tropes to fill in time, but do they really need a whole community?

It's an objective fact, and there's nothing tropers and SJWs in general hate more than objective facts, it's almost a swear word to them.

Nobody knows how many died from nazis and communists.The truth is the figure is unknowable.All these figures given are ultimately just estimates since surprise surprise the killers didn't bother publicising their accomplishments.There is one minor detail to account for.Communists were around for about 70+ years from circa 1918 to 1990 give or take.The far right had its heyday from about 1933 to 1945.Of course it gets complicated depending on how you define such movements.But most victims of far right violence were in a timespan of a decade about.Communists had time to 'grow' their body count.You also get into a lot of difficulties about defining violence.For example some of these deaths were the result of poorly thought out government practices like some of the famines.
If you get into that then well most governments can be blamed for some body counts.Heck president Wilson can probably be blamed for 400-500k dead americans in the 1917-18 timespan.Had he kept the US out of the war(since in practice there was no realistic threat to the US the germans were in no position to do much) not only would 100k+ american soldiers had lived but probably half of all Spanish flu deaths could have been avoided.One reason they could never do a proper quarantine during the Spanish flu was because of the war and the need to keep war production going.By this metric Wilson makes Nixon and Johnson seem like complete amateurs in the horrible presidents category.Lets not even go into his incompetent handling of the race riots of 1919.
Going back to right vs left much of the worst violence was actually in the context of the war between them.That complicates the metric even further.How do you define war dead in combat?But using the 'they killed more' ignores the fact that we're arguing about people who killed millions.When you're at millions of dead that can be attributed to you it really doesn't make much of a difference anymore if you're number 1 or 2.Its like arguing over Ted Bundy vs John Wayne Gacy.Although i do believe Bundy had the potential to be far worse since the guy had a realistic shot at political office even all the way to the White House.Bundy with his finger on the button now that is a nightmare.

Ironically, some states don't even celebrate Columbus Day, and instead make it a holiday for those who are indigenous.

And Mao topped them both with 50 million as @NerdShamer said, or 60 million when I learned about it in school. The ideology of a dictator is the least important thing to consider when they are systematically killing their own people.

Amazing that this guy got banned when Tropers as a whole have a collective hateboner for DW. If I remember correctly half of the YMMV page was all about the episode where Arthur punched her and them coming up with excuses for why he was justified in hitting her.

Best guess as to why this guy got banned is because the hateboner for DW is probably one of those infamous low-hanging fruit moments for TV Tropes back in the pre-SJW era, alongside the "Everyone is a Time Lord" and MLP overkill in the early 2010's.

The main reason why the Second Google Incident happened and Fast Eddie went apeshit on any content that was even remotely sexual (to the point of even briefly actual literature like "Lolita" and I think Tropic of Cancer too) was because the "This Troper" YouTube Channel alongside Something Awful and the "Fuck No TV Tropes" blog had a field day with all the creeps in the Troper Tales and Fetish Fuel pages and the whole "Naughty Tentacles" trope page and mass reported it to Google.

Given how woke modern TV Tropes is and how Fighteer is even worse of an admin than Fast Eddie was, maybe they were trying to prevent a Third Google Incident or draw any further mockery?
