This prompted me to check all their channels.

RT: Aside from RT Animated which gets ~300k, nothing gets over 100k
RT Animation: Really kinda sad to look at.
Let's Play(which is their straight-up videogaming content) consistently passes 150k on even the worst performers and near 500k with the best.
Achievement Hunter (which is everything else, including - perplexingly - the animated videos for Let's Play) mostly hits 100k with a few small exceptions.

Seems like Geoff and co are the actual breadwinners, on youtube at least.
Also, Death Battle, which is under the RT umbrella, has 4.56 million subscribers.

Also, here’s some more stuff about Kathleen.

Doug Walker? Really? That’s who you compare us to? https://twitter.com/AustaJunk/status/1270353155579162628?s=09

Not how it works. IP is always valuable, and they'd never just abandon it even if RT ran a negative profit.
They'd either sell off assets, or absorb RT like the blob and scatter what remained of the staff to the four corners of the company.
So if Warner Media decides to hold onto RT's IPs, who'd they get to produce/animate them? Or would this be like a tax write off scenario like what happened to Sym-Bionic Titan back in the day?

Most people think they’d just reboot it to make it fit for something like Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, or HBO Max. And depending on what happens, a lot of things involving RT production including the cast and crew that’s in house will be told to get fucked.

The only people that might keep their jobs in that situation would be the handful of professional voice actors that already have good repertoire with whoever is making the show.

And who’s that? Vic was probably the biggest regular-ish name that RWBY ever had.
From main characters alone: Elizabeth Maxwell as Winter, Jen Taylor as Salem, Josh Grelle as Tyrian, Chris Sabat as Watts, Yuri Lowenthal as Mercury, Jason Liebretch as Qrow, Aaron Dismuke as Oscar.

Minor characters: Kent Williams as Ghira, Tara Platt as Kali, Jason Douglas as Jacques. Potentially Shannon McCormack as Ozpin.

In relevant news: Pat Rodriguez, a former concept artist for the company, has talked about some of his pay issues as part of a hashtag on Twitter called #AnimationPaidMe.

Only other one that comes to mind that isn't a Funimation fuckwit is Yuri Lowenthal taking over as Mercury once Vol. 3 dropped and "Swamp Thing" star Derek Mears as Corsac. And the latter's audio quality sounded like he was recording from a toilet for some reason.

That’s...not all that promising. Funimation VAs are pretty low on the voice acting totem pole in the West. So that leaves Jen Taylor, the voice of Cortana and Yuri Lowenthal as big players (though Yuri May be pushing it), and Shannon which is mostly in house and DC Universe online. I’m not sure if that’s really a recipe for investors to get excited.

I'd argue if anything, Warner will probably just write it up as a loss. It's too fucked up to be continued under new management unless they do a hard reboot. And I doubt that no one would want to put up the funds for it, especially since CN's content on just airing Teen Titans Go! all day long and Adult Swim is basically on its death throes once Bob's Burgers and Family Guy leave. Sure there's HBO Max, but given how they treated Elmer in that new Looney Tunes series, They'll probably remove Ruby and Nora's projectile weapons and have them remain a scythe and hammer at all times.

Will RWBY undergo the Teen Titans Go! treatment?

Chibi already did that, but; like how much RT has had to make "sacrifices" to keep their cow, they canceled it.

"Any day now, daddy will come home. He just went out to buy some milk. Any day now. AnY dAY NOw...hAHaHAhAHahA..."
Honestly, I can see this show just outright ending without season 7. Its a long shot, but its more probable now more than ever. After all, the economy is making every company tighten the belt (something Warner seems to want to do), covid makes animation very difficult to do in general (and this is rwby, the show notorious for finishing shit at the last minute when things are going "well"), and with all the talks of RT being shut down (which is only supported by the round of internal layoffs and management changes) you have a recipe for a stillborn series "finale" that may never see the light of day.

I still think RT will still push RWBY out the door because they can’t afford to not have RWBY.
