Excuse me for not being able to follow this thread. Giving how so inept and fragmented US politics are, I am picturing two outcomes to happen.
One that local governments will strip and constrict police enforcement, not in ways that are practical and effective to reduce police brutality, to the point that law enforcement won't be able to maintain law and order which increases crime, distrust between communities, and turning cities into bigger shitholes that people will want to move out from creating a new age of urban decay and gated communities and enclaves.
The other outcome is US government and law enforcement using the riots as a precedent to limit freedoms and rights. Considering how turbulent this year is and example of Trump willing to cripple the internet, I worry that federal government pull something in the coming future that will not only stop the current protest or riots but set up things that will future hamper US discourse and wellbeing. I know that is a stretch and feel free to argue it but given this year of a roller coaster anything can happen.
Edit. If there is one outcome I can hope for is that the rioting, violence, and impractical demands will be exhausted and communities will realize what their priorities are and focus on ways to improve and take care of each other and communicate ways more practical solutions that are not Left Wing fever dream garbage. Unfortunately that outcome probably won't happen
