Does no one stand up in defense of Enlightenment values anymore? A sort of primitive medievalism is creeping into our societies and into our discourse. What you are is increasingly given more weight and more importance than who you are, almost to the point of superstition. We are backsliding and reverting to the previous condition of humanity.

Centuries ago, everyone respected the divine right of kings. No one was to question the king. Why? Because he's a king. He has the identity of a king, therefore, he derives his authority from divine mandate, ergo, everything he says is given special weight and consideration. The key advancement of the Enlightenment was the realization that kings were merely men, not magical beings whose words carried special meaning above that of the peasantry.

Now, we are in the process of raising certain groups of people above others, prizing "lived experience" over imagination, and identity over reason. We are exhuming our kings. Religion and bureaucracy provide little comfort anymore in a world where everyone is atomized and alone and desperate for a group identity to cling to.

I have been warning people for years about the end of democracy and the rise of neo-feudalism, with corporate city-states taking precedence over the nation-state. I am now watching it unfold right before my very eyes. Everyone has their own little cause célèbre, and every corporation from coast to coast is patting them on the ass for it.

The coming era appears set to be ruled by passion over rationality, by instinct over deliberation, and by feelings instead of facts. Everyone is falling into the same exact trap.

Our economy was always bullshit. I mean that literally. We sell bullshit as a business. The biggest sector of the American economy is the FIRE industry, with services after that.



The economy of the US is financialized and virtualized to the point where bullshit is our #1 export. We literally sell bullshit and use the proceeds of that sale to buy plastic trinkets from China, and then my fellow Americans stupidly go into debt to buy these plastic trinkets, and then that debt is sold off as more bullshit, and then we throw the plastic junk in a landfill so we can buy more. Our economy operates like the world's dumbest perpetual motion machine, the ultimate product of which is over-mortgaged properties, heaps of credit card debt, and literal mountains of waste.

If our economy collapses, guess what? An entire string of fucking dominoes will collapse that will reverberate across the entire planet. If America is suddenly impoverished as shit and loses all of our buying power, China will have no one to sell their products to. If China has no one to sell their products to, then they won't have enough money to import enough food to feed their population, and then that population will decide they'd rather eat the CCP instead. Then, China would collapse into civil war and the entire developed world would lose what is pretty much the sole source of all our tech goods.

The US has a half-again more arable land than China does, and less than a quarter the mouths to feed. I don't think most people realize this, but China has a tiny, tiny region of arable land relative to their population, and the CCP know this, and believe me, they are afraid.

He's so fucking stupid he doesn't even realize that by refusing to prove he's white, he's sabatoging his own argument. He wants us to rate him positively (a win for him) to prove he's white (which is also a win for him). Most of his posts are just dumb pol-speak, but every now and then he makes a post with correct grammar, well-structured sentences, and actual fleshed-out arguments. It's one of the main reasons I suspect this whole thing is someone taking us on a ruse-cruise. I don't even mind, I'm having fun.
