I'm seeing a lot of "property and physical possessions aren't more important than human life!", when the rioting is criticized, like that's even relevant because no one ever had to choose one over the other in this situation, people are just causing property damage because they're mad but like, does anyone actually fucking believe this?
Like if you actually thought human life was more important then you'd be donating all your money to causes that prevent people from dying instead of upgrading your iphone every time a new one comes out. Who the fuck actually thinks the life of a random stranger is more important than their own personal comfort? So there's 2 buttons, one says "random person dies", the other says "your house gets burned down", guess which one I'm picking? but nah, that's a horrible thing to say. I should be virtue signalling on twitter about an issue I didn't care about before and will no longer care about when it's not trending anymore, just like everyone else.
