my point was, actual men don't take it as seriously because other men wearing dresses aren't seen as an actual threat.

That's just because Rowling is famous. The more famous you are, even more so if you're famous in a field they would just love to be successful in (troons in general seem think themselves great creators), the more aggression you cop from those people. Add to it the traditional SJW hatred/envy of anything that could be called "success", and anyone who draws too much attention gets a huge target painted on their back.

I never understood this and will never understand. I remember them screaming at the top of their lungs that Samus Aran was trans or some shit because she was a tall athletic woman. A big reason the whole push for trans "acceptance" (read: obedience) has been so successful is that the mainstream left has convinced everyone that only hateful rightwing bigots would ever question trans ideology. It's why terves have their own special snarl-word instead of just being called transphobes like everyone else: most feminists are and have historically been left-leaning, which makes not toeing the party line with regards to trans crap unthinkable and unforgivable to the woke. Terves ruin the narrative and must be No-True-Scotsman'd as rightwingers (who are secretly being funded by religious conservatives, naturally).
It doesn't help that the left absolutely refuses to allow debate on the issue and so the only places TERFs can go if they want to talk are conservative/right leaning. There was an event awhile back where a bunch of radfems and lesbians got together to speak about trans ideology that was hosted by the fucking Heritage Foundation. The woman who was up first at the mic said something along the lines of, "First of all - and I never thought I would say these words - I would like to thank the Heritage Foundation for hosting us here today." And you could hear the disbelief in her voice.
It's why you poor unfortunate kiwis have to deal with the TERF invasion and see us shitting up your threads with our sperging (we're sorry, we really are, nobody deserves that). When all the lefty forums chuck you out, you end up getting funnelled to the right. They're out there, but they mostly impose on other women their age in annoying albeit non-threatening and non-sexual ways. They're the ones who force mommy groups to completely restructure the way they talk about pregnancy/childbirth/motherhood to accommodate TIFs and their fragile feelings- making the word "mother" verboten, having them rename breastfeeding to "chestfeeding", demanding other moms, midwives and doctors who won't pretend they're men be made persona non grata, etc. Which is exceptional in and of itself, but doesn't really compare to the kind of shit TIMs get up to.

A troon's physical stature is one thing - but by being a troon you also know they're crazy, and that adds unpredictability and a greater threat of violence.
Add in the baseball bats, and while most of them are going to get too triggered to do anything, there's already an established desire to inflict violence that increases the threat level.
