He was actually an embalmer and a "funeral home director", whatever that entails. I never read anything about him having to deal directly with mourners or families. It sounded to me like the was working a back-end job preparing bodies for burial, not a front-end job serving cake to families or directly taking to them about funeral arrangements or selling them services. For the sake of accuracy I am pointing out what I know about this case. It sounded to me like the kind of situation where the trannie is the quiet autistic programmer who's working on the code whereas someone else -more social and presentable - does the helpdesk. If I am wrong and he was working a front-end job where he had to deal with customers directly then the funeral home should've just demoted him to a back-end job, they could've told him to focus on embalming and bring in someone else to direct the place, instead of firing him outright. That's how you avoid unnecessary lolsuits. You gotta play it smart with these things because trannies are litigiousAF.

Second, gender dysphoria and gender variance are not the same thing. I personally hate the term GV and prefer the term GNC. Not everyone who is gender non-conforming experiences gender dysphoria. It speaks to reason that those who are GNC and OK with it will continue with their non-conformity into adulthood. It also speaks to reason that those who cannot accept the fact that they are GNC (dysphorics) and cling onto idealized conceptions of gender conformity (that they cannot every hope to embody or manifest without transition) will continue being dysphoric into adulthood. It really only comes down to what extend someone is willing to tolerate conformity and non-conformity to gender standards within themselves. What gender ideology does is it takes a personal problem - to what extend can I as an individual accept the fact that I do not want to conform to to society's standards for what a proper man or a woman should be/look like - and turns it into a social problem: if we just switch the roles around and get society to go along with it, all these gender failures will become gender success stories. Which is bullshit but that's the carrot of transitioning. The stick is that society will never accept you if you don't conform to gender roles in one way or another.
Gender specialists are definitely pathologizing gay kids by insisting that they conform to society's culturally arbitrary gender standards, albeit the opposite ones. Gender specialists are using the institutional force and clout of the medical establishment to tell gay kids that they are basically "gender failures" and just not good enough to be a man/woman, so they are pathologizing them for being gender non-conforming, they are in a certain way almost brainwashing them that they cannot opt out of this gender bullshit by being GNC, and then they are literally pathologizing them by subjecting them to medical treatment. Everything about this gender bullshit is geared towards pathologization and medicalization for the purpose of erasing the option GNCy in society.
"It's conflating gender identity and sexual orientation", like I said, this statement is the biggest bullshit to come out of the the TRAs. Gender is merely the game you play to get sex/convince a partner that you are fuckable and a good mate. Gender is merely what society tells you is fuckable and desirable. Gender therefore has everything to do with sexual orientation. How you present to the world is how you give off sexual cues, it's how you implicitly communicate what you're into and what you're looking for. Gender is the means, sex is the ends. When they tell a GNC girl that she's a transboy, what they usually mean to say is: "You are just too ugly/too butch/too autistic to get fucked as a girl. You'd look more fuckable as a boy.". That's the big taboo that no one wants to talk about. That gender standards are ultimately all about one's fuckability and how society decides who's fuckable and who is not. When you look at it from that perspective, it makes perfect sense that so many incels male and female troon out. They don't want to be women/men, they just want to get fucked, find a mate.
Then she bullshits on about how puberty blockers are safe to use. She also bullshits about how puberty blockers were first used to treat precoscious puberty. Actually, puberty blockers were first used on tall girls to keep them small. This goes back to what I said about about how gender all comes down to fuckability: tall girls were kept small because society thinks that tall girls aren't fuckable (when then models are expected to be tall, so once again girls are getting mixed messages and end up confused). Indigenous tribes viewing gay men as "not men" and therefor in need of a separate gender is not the same as teenagers on Tumblr renaming themselves "Kai" and going by "they/them." The idea that who someone fucks or what they do for a living changes their gender is pretty un-woke when you actually think about it.
Let's take a closer look at these examples (some of which are misspelled.) Māhū were biologically male-- they were men who performed "feminine" tasks still considered to be inappropriate for women. For the longest time, the term was believed to just be the Hawaiian word for homosexual (it isn't-- it's more like a description of profession.) Faʻafafine is literally the exact same thing, but in Samoa instead of Hawaii. It's an adjective that literally just translates to "effeminate" (wow, such third gender, much abolition of gender roles.) "Hijra" is just the Hindi word for "eunuch" which people in modern times have appropriated to apply to Tumblr genders. The only one of these that really holds water as being analogous to modern day troons and genderspecials is the five genders the Bugis people have, which are basically male, female, FTM, MTF, and "Bissu." Hmm, that's funny, I thought considering trannies to be a separate gender from normal men and women is wrong, but I guess TRAs are willing to overlook that so long as they can use this obscure culture to prove a point.
Notice how the argument being made by this meme basically amounts to "well, ethnic minorities do it, so if you object to it you're RACIST!!1!" I shouldn't have to say why that's absurd. Even setting aside the fact that these cultures all have third genders as a result of rigid gender stereotypes, something shouldn't just be okay because it happens to be practiced by a persecuted group. For instance, there are cultures out there that practice FGM. Does that mean the culture is evil, or that its people are? No. However, culture should never be used as an excuse to infringe on other peoples' human rights, and FGM is very much that. You can disagree with certain inhumane practices in a culture without hating or disenfranchising an entire ethnic group.
Also, if we're going to use Tumblrina logic to fight Tumblrina logic-- stop using brown people as props or points of argumentation. Whens the last time ANYONE in this thread encountered a genderspecial that wasn't lily-white? The only "two spirit" person I can think of is Kent Monkman, who goes by "he" and is by all accounts just a gay man (and also never even lived an a reservation.) Also, yeah, the "two spirit" thing is once again just like the Māhū-- a third "gender" that was mostly created because they needed "female" equivalents in ceremonies that women were forbidden from participating in. I fail to see how that's progressive, but people took it and ran with it and now it's just another term for genderspecial.

That's the really teeth-chatteringly stupid thing about that sort of transgender argument. Every single one of those "native gender identities", without exception, boils down to:
"You're not acting like a man*, but you are clearly not a woman*. So we'll make a separate category of people, not equal to men or women, for you to inhabit."
(* And vice-versa.)
It's the logical anathema to their argument for tolerance and acceptance and breaking of gender stereotypes. Yeah, those people aren't necessarily lynched on the streets, but they were heavily expected to fulfill their "gender" roles. They weren't "free souls", able to do whatever they wanted in their societies, they were locked in as tighly as everybody else and were almost universally considered either weird or second-class citizens even if they did perform a role in society. Congratulations, your "non-binary native gender identity" is the sociological equivalent of being the tribe's assistant janitor. Enjoy!
