Kinda Joel related but I just found out the Super Mario in real life kid that Joel used to constantly laugh about on stream made a second video (years later) and trooned out. Does Joel know he's back?

 
I never watched Joel's Sims/meme house, but now I think I will.

Also did he beat banjo it stop playing it?
 
I remember some time ago one of the compilation videos was full of "MARIO SAYS TRANS RIGHTS KID WHO DID SUPER MARIO IN REAL LIFE IS TRANS BAYBEE uwu" like it was a big deal. Or it was some twitter thread I scrolled past idk.

Chances are if Joel knows he will likely not even bother with anything to do with that meme anymore to avoid chat being spammed pride emojis.

When Vinny made the "second puberty" joke chat spammed transpride creaming themselves that "Vinny finally said trans rights! uwu"
 
I love Joel as it is but I have to admit that I kind of miss his edgier early days, back when he said significantly more risque stuff and "re'tard" was in his regular lexicon. I understand he can't really get away with that anymore, but I still miss it. I've always wondered if when he speaks Swedish on his April Fools streams he's saying shit he couldn't get away with saying to an American audience.

My Swedish isn’t good enough to pick up everything, but I wouldn’t really consider it too bad. He does shit on the American audience a little, but it’s not really scathing, more “haha nobody understands what i’m saying”. If you think making fun of Danes/Americans/his inability to speak pure Swedish without loan words is edgy, then maybe.
If you’re curious enough and don’t mind reading, the streams have been subbed by other people. I’ll link to the 2015 one since it’s closest to the time you described.
 
Watching the Google translated Half Life Sunday stream and its a good concept but I really wish they would have done the voice acting with a TTS to accentuate the robotic-ness of the whole thing instead of some dork and his buddies using their best "Yeah, I read Shakespeare in class without stuttering 8)" voices.

Incidentally, that word appeared in a Red letter media fangame Vinny played just now and he decided not to say it out loud for obvious reasons. Chat was divided.

I don't mind if someone i'm being entertained by has liberal morals and acts on them, I Am bothered by the holier than thou lecture that comes with it or even the common "trans women are WOMEN *smirk* girls are the rweal gamers *smirk*" stinger.

Simply not saying the word and talking about it practically is totally the best practice here, you get to live by your code and not do something you think is reprehensable, while also not lecturing over it as if its the only possible moral position on the subject.

Sadly a meh sunday stream, not that it 100% fits scummy sunday but he really should've just finished off Yoshi's Safari and did less of the other things

I'm glad this kind of stuff was labelled as identity politics, because it seems to be just as infuriating to deal with for any parties. Now if only everyone else could get the memo…

If anybody was curious, he cut this person out of his YouTube upload of the stream. Based Joel won't let political idiots use his stream as a soapbox.
