And who do we owe this nebulous responsibility too? The Government? Yes of course the government. An all-powerful government who will rule over us with benevolence and wisdom that never ends. The government will be a great and wise king who makes the proper decisions for we simple serfs. Xhe will have us gather within cities were we receive food and shelter due to their benevolence, were we are told year after year, generation after generation about how our greedy and selfish actions harmed the environment, and it continues long after any person has ever actually seen a genuine plant or non-insectoid animal. The violent an depraved creations known as weapons will be taken away, our great and benevolent leaders saving us from ourselves (and keeping us from ever being able to really fight them). All the while we will be reminded daily and hourly about how......good our leaders are, about how they and only they are capable of ruling us, and dictating every little thing we do. Through our ignorance, we will be truly free.

If you actually think about the long-term goals of the Left, it really is scary.

You *may* be asked to show a form of ID if you haven't been to vote before (it says). Why do they even bother having a vote when there's no way to verify the results are legitimate? This is amazing.

I would love to see that little shit frog marched alongside his gorilla husband, but it'll never happen in a million fucking years. Once the investigations get to a certain point they will go completely silent, there will be some three letter swamp creatures suddenly retiring for NGO work, and suddenly a lot of the Never Trumpers will go absolutely silent.

The celebration of the infantilization of society in the west seems to have accelerated recently. The ideal citizen has gone from a self-interested patriot with a clear stake in the national good who educates himself on the news of the day to a passive, childish consumer who sees freedoms as burdens and wants the government to manage his rights for him so they don't cut into his consooming time.

The fact that people are unironically holding up China as an example of how to effectively fight the Wu Flu is absolute lunacy. Yeah, let's strip away all human rights for the population, forcibly weld them inside their homes, stop testing or treating people with the disease to keep our numbers down, not even bother reporting accurate numbers, and throw people who may or may not even be dead yet into incinerators to hide the evidence! What a great standard!

It's rather disturbing how many people seem completely willing to give up all their rights due to a nebulous emergency. Don't think governments around the world aren't taking notes on what they can get away with in the future, even when there's not a good excuse to do so.

We have all of these world-shaping events and appointments to positions that will change the trajectory of this country for an entire generation, and some of these events had the potential to start wars and he didn't give a damn, but one seemingly-innocuous legal battle involving a single General being charged for lying to the FBI is what sends him into enough of a panic to jump into campaign mode for the dude that he wouldn't even endorse a few months ago?

Don't you think it's possible that there might be more to this than they're trying to let on?

You make a great point. I wasn't quite sure that the DNC would swap Biden out, not because they don't want to, but rather they don't know if they could do it and keep the support of their base. It's a risky move for an outcome they don't really need. They want to win, but they don't have to win. Just playing the opposition against Trump is almost as good, and in some ways better.

But Obama doesn't have that luxury. He has to see Trump defeated. I don't think he has any qualms with sacrificing the party if it means even a 1% higher chance of Trump getting beat. He already got his. As far as he's concerned, running the chance of the DNC imploding is just the cost of business.
