This has always been Ralph's M.O. It's nothing new.

It's the same reason why if you look at any chat log where he was present or look through any of his tweets, basically any short public message sent by him, a whole lot of them will be followed with a "lol" or a "hahaha" for no good reason. It might read as nervousness or as being genuine in other people but for him it's about keeping a facade that he's not bothered by anything and that he's on top of the world when he's obviously not.
