No, I said "I think he caved to the request". If there were to be a Bloodsports-esque thing with, say, me, and I said bring X on, he probably would because I invited the confrontation. If anything I would argue that Dick saying to bring him on for the confrontation was more for showmanship, regardless of the outcome. Nick has shown before that he'll bring on critics--he brought MBA on when he was shitting up his chat when Perfection was on, and Perfection said "Yeah, bring him on". It shows that Nick's going to do what he can for entertainment purposes. After all, he brought Andy Warski on to the Tonka show, didn't he?

I think Ralph and his co-hosts defend Dick because Dick was what kept that show going for a bit. Look at TRR: it's a shadow of a shadow of its former self. Nick defends Dick because Nick is just stupidly loyal to people he considers friends; it's why he defends Ralph, TUG, etc. He will still call them out on their bullshit like he has with EVS and TUG and the constant dramamongering, but it's a loyalty thing on his end and nothing more.
