While it wouldn't surprise me if there were fans of DSP once upon a time here; I'd also say it's erroneous to say most of us were. The only 100% guaranteed fan that I'd say is BSV, and that's because he showed up of his own accord and owns up to what he does.

A lot of the bigger tractors are self admitted former fans. DSPArchives, evilaj, and Fred I think were all fans who were 'jilted' by phil in one way or another, usually through a banning and then turned on him.

Once upon a time even I actually enjoyed dsp vids although I never interacted with him beyond a couple one way yt comments and I never was jilted I just naturally transitioned to tractor.

Them yeah, but they don't really post here. They may lurk, but don't show up and partake, unlike BSV.

"ACK ACK ACK ACK, I'm throwing away yet another chance to appear to be a better man and act in good faith, ACK ACK ACK ACK."
To be fair (something which Phil does not at all deserve), Rekieta is a drama streamer. That he happens to have a day job and professional experience is the only thing that sets him apart from Keemstar and Metokur. Just because he's able to provide a practical legal perspective doesn't mean Phil or anyone else embroiled in internet drama would get a fairer shake going on his stream than anyone else's. Let's he honest, anyone here who tuned into his stream on the 27th was likely looking to find out exactly how screwed DSP is. Do you really think most people would be in attendance expecting to see Rekieta give him equal treatment and clear the air?

There's a million reasons Phil is paranoid, but not wanting to go on some person's show so idiots could spam trash meme superchats is not one of them.

It is impossible to give someone a fair shake who lies constantly despite us having damn near concrete proof of his lies. And when cornered with his lies he just deflects and calls everything detractor memes and claims he has "debunked" these rumors but in reality he never has. So you trying giving someone like that a fair shake.

I agree, and I think Phil knows it. He's not going to give anyone the time of day unless he's absolutely sure he's going to get his asshole licked and come out smelling like roses on the other side. I was just pointing out the fact that Phil isn't stupid for turning down Nick, and I have no doubt that if he did five minutes of reading his Twitter feed Nick knew exactly how he'd react. He's poking the bear, which in Phil's case in particular is incredibly safe because the bear happens to be a fat, drunken nü-boomer who will at most snipe at you on his stream and gloat on Twitter if you happen to do something dumb enough to make waves that even he hears about it.

One of the main reasons for Phil being in this situation is he being a giant bitch who can't take criticism. At least it would take him away from his safe space.

Ahh, who am I kidding, he's too far gone now.

IBS is not the place you turn to in order to grow as a person. Phil has all the tools he needs at his disposal if he wanted to clear up any of the million criticisms publicly made against him and he chooses not to. My larger point was that acting like he'd get the chance to do so on a drama stream is fallacious; those don't exist for that purpose and everyone involved from the streamer to the guest to the audience knows it. It's not a dumb thing to avoid them; in fact it's one of the most sensible things Phil has done probably since getting the bankruptcy lawyer. That he's undoubtedly doing it for purely cowardly reasons is another matter.

Ahh well, I don't think we'll reach a consensus on that. If we were talking about someone like Mr. Metokur, which would be an instant internet suicide (if Phil wasn't dead already, that is), I would have no concerns with agreeing with you. I also can't lie, I suppose. Who doesn't want to watch Phil fail at basic social interactions?

i wish someone would smashcut all the "dsp runs and hides from confrontation" moments instead of a 6 hour director's edition of his dull-ass streams.

One of the more recent times he encountered a "detractor" live was during a call of duty session.

He just started yelling out "blah blah blah" in a panic while fumbling to either mute the guy or leave the server.

It was an embarrassing sight to witness and showed again just how goddamn sheltered he has become from reality. Phil is scared shitless of any confrontation where he can't click and ban them.

Phil is tenacious as fuck but we have learnt over the cows e.g. Spoony, Mumkey Jones, you can destroy your revenue stream over a course of weeks. Phil could do that or take it away. A lot of his viewers are do not actually donate or tip him its a small minority. If even 1 or 2 of them go, it has an effect. Gone are the days of 1000 dollah tips. His entire channel is propped by a few small whales.

Sure, sure. All true. Just also (and I know you conclude that this is a separate matter), he's a yellow-livered coward who is never going to go near a person he knows is his intellectual superior, let alone a trained assassin to the only thing he has left in the world (ability to control his own narrative & deliver it both himself & tangentially, the people who do the dirty work for him when it comes to being a real man.) Not even if $ is involved. I don't see it as a matter of "can't blame him"; I just sincerely doubt any kind of reason/rationale went into him bitching out.

His rejection of the offer was only a logical choice by incidence. He didn't dodge it bc "lol fuck outta here, discount Keemfaggot with law papers & youtube podium". He pissed himself & bitched out because he won't fuck around at all with anyone he doesn't think he can gaslight, which is why this BK is so fucking terrifying for him. He's drowning in an ocean of that. And he's slowly descending into madness.

And I think that's further evident with what @LyteSydeByll said upthread. The only thing more shocking to me about this than Phil did not turboban Nick before he could respond, is that Phil did not already have RL Nopezoned.. he has known about Nick for months & does not leave things like this to chance.

The fact that this exchange even happened, let alone went on for 4 messages is kinda unprecedented for him.

Some people have, but it isn't particularly interesting/enlightening. Every so often, you'll see snippets of the conversations posted on here. The general summary is they don't really care or think it is their business what he spends his money on. Some of the more delusional ones think there isn't actually any evidence Phil does what they do. A few will actually acknowledge Phil is bad with money/admit his content isn't great, but insist they stick around for the community or just feel the need to keep supporting Phil out of habit.

There's a few reasons people donate to Phil. The most popular theory and the one I personally think describes most of his supporters is the power trip. They have Phil's us. vs. them mentality, but they also project themselves onto Phil. They get to pretend by helping Phil spite his detractors, they're also sticking it to the bullies in their life. Others just like getting to have the tables turned and becoming bullies in their own right by donating enough to become mods. There's a couple who, strangely enough, actually seem to enjoy Phil's content and believe he is worth supporting. I think these ones are pretty few and far between these days.

There is also a few examples of previous fans seeing the light when presented with evidence (though usually only after Phil makes fun of them or is otherwise dismissive to them) but I can't recall any who broke out of the gout cult recently.

Other than that, I think his only other "fans" are the types of trolls who at first donated "ironically" or for the lulz or some other dumb excuse, but have kept doing it for so long they've actually come to appreciate Phil in some capacity.

Thank you sir! This is exactly what I was wondering about. I really was wondering what kind of human could not only watch his content but would think it’s good enough to donate to. There are tons of other streamers who aren’t assholes to everyone around them. I also thought that there maybe be other assholes like him that actually like his personality.

Yeah that was what I was wondering. Were some of them fans who turned detractors? I know there was that guy that made the video about how he met Phil at a gaming convention, became a mod, and the went on to hate him. I was just wondering how anybody could still support him given this HUGE amount of evidence of what a piece of shit he is. Like early in his streaming days, there wasn't a lot of evidence of him being an asshole but now there are tons of videos showing what horrible human he is.
