Mumsnet is on it's last legs, so it Harrop and co are going in for the kill.

In all honesty it's just Darwinism in action, users are sticking with Mumsnet out of habit, once it's gone it'll be a chance for something more robust to take it's place.

Because he's probably a shitty doctor. In any organisation there's always going to be a number of people there that simply don't pull their weight; and who the people working there with them will cover for in terms of hours and work put in simply because it's easier than the fuckery that results from getting them sacked.

He claims he’s a type 1 diabetic so is in compulsory 12 week lockdown. He’s working from home answering 111 calls on a lucrative locum basis and probably doing distance consulting on his private Troon practice.

the first sentence is actually true: unless they're trade-legal, scales and balances tend to underweigh at high loads, and as bathroom scales are not high-accuracy instruments to start with, they can underweigh severely, meaning the actual weight is more than the one on the display

He's probably getting pissed off manning the phone listening to old ladies with coughs when he really wants to be dealing with rare and special children.

Iirc he was complaining about a railguard who didn’t do enough to stop someone smoking. Maybe the rail guard didn’t care. Maybe the rail guard had judged that antagonising the smoker by telling him to desist would likely cause a violent response. Why would Adrian care. Adrian just loves to post his complaint on twitter and make their lives difficult because...Adrian. Maybe he thought he might get a free rail ticket out if the company. Asshole.

Of interest, the NHS has a (supposedly) secure nhs.net email service. Adrian used to be on it, but his name disappeared about the time complaints to the GMC started rolling in. I’ve no idea if you lose your access if you are no longer employed in the NHS, that could have been a reason for him no longer being on it. Or possibly Doctors up and down the country contacted him privately to tell him what an idiot he is and get off Twitter and start doing some work causing him to do a flounce and delete his account.
I don’t know how it works in GP practice or 111 service - maybe they have their own email systems but I’d have thought it would be an inconvenience trying to work within the NHS even as a locum without access to a secure NHS communication system. How to contact pay departments or perhaps even communicate with Consultants on their patients’ behalf to expedite an appointment or whatever?

They might be reworking the mail system, during my degree we looked into the idea of mandatory testing for certain genetic conditions and one of the main problems was that the NHS internal filing system is not secure enough to begin mass sharing between various practices and hospitals. Individual hospitals and GP services are fine, but going between them was insecure.
