That‘s a stupid analogy. The Last Jedi made a ton of money because people were wanting to see Star Wars. That movie practically killed the franchise And created such a backlash from the fans that it tanked the next two movies that came out in the Star Wars universe.

With Cyberfrog, most customers were happy with the product they got and they wanted more. So much that when Rekt Planet launched it was a huge success.
 
For those wondering, this desperate touting of success is just on the finance, because being forced to admit that people are just pay pigging and paying for either more deluxe versions out of spite or autistic speculation hurts the success story.

Sure, I fully expect at least another 1-3k more backers to show up, but that's still less than the first campaign. Less people want Rekt Planet than Blood Honey.

I reckon the thought scares you there given that response.

But hey, I figure it capping between 5-7.5k, likely closer to the upper end, is about on point given how there's a U shape usually with backed projects. If it doesn't hit past 8.5k backers, then I'm right on the numbers being stagnant. I'll admit to growth if it goes past about 9k, since 500 extra backers should be pretty trivial but noticeable bump, right?

NOTE: I am not counting the variants on either issue to try and keep it reasonably simple and fair. Oh, and unique backers too, since getting it via paypigging invalidates the crowd game, forgot to mention that.

Of course Ethan likes the war campaign. Who wouldn't like their own cadre of white knights constantly engaging in gay ops against other gay ops? He has a personal army he doesn't have to command they just do his bidding for digital asspats which he hands out like santa claus at Mardi gras.
Giving Ethan the attention he craves gives him the key to all the hates which he can open and close at his discretion. With a wave of his dingdong he can get 100 paypiggies to back a project, now that's real power.
He can wash his hands of all the dirty laundry because he's not behind any of it, just complicit in it's execution. Even if he calls it out with a wink and a nod the drama continues.
Making tons of money is a good thing, he should be congratulated. His base is shrinking but not nearly as fast as the base for "mainstream" comic books.
The ebay reselling is his weakest argument from what I've read at the start of this thread it began with assmad resellers not making bank repeddeling his wares.
Comicsgate is dead as a doornail with Mitch going to wal mart and the christ patrol bitching ad infinitum about ancient lore no one understands or gives a shit about they have long ago abandoned the customer for TUG style mailbox ops to boost their view count on the youtubes.
Ethan is the only one who has maintained his sanity even if he's a sad manchild who draws six fingers on a hand.

And how lucky is Ethan that he's got his beta orbiting army of white knights? Most fatties on cam have to at least show a bra strap and master a MySpace angle to get that kind of devotion. He didn't even have to lead a single neckbeard on about his chances of getting into Ethan's panties

I mean hell, I would hope someone who I considered a "friend" or even who was wanting to kind of look out for me even if I might end up not liking it, but if they pointed out how the hand is drawn wrong. I rather have them tell me now so I could go back and correct it, instead of just letting it stay a shitty looking hand and then it gets published in so many copies. Just like all the good basic life advice that people have given Ethan in various threads around here, this will also go unheeded. The man is facing down retirement age and still acts like this. He ain't gonna change at this point, so we should just enjoy the sight of a fat elderly man acting like a teenage girl online

Here's a thought: considering the last couple of years of Ethan's online behavior, imagine what it must have been like actually spending time with him as a co-worker. Now consider how charitable the "SJW Comics Gatekeeping Establishment" is being by not unloading every single story of his tantrums and delusions that undoubtedly impacted the workplace

This is just another example of the type of behavior exhibited by people who have never had to grow up. Seems shockingly common among adults who choose to make their careers creating illustrated fiction intended for children. See Mark Waid for a different set of examples.
