But you can't expect the users of Reddit or Tumblr to be privy to this, so of course, the outpouring of support was massive. Link to the actual thread. (archive) Unfortunately the post was locked and removed and I wasn't able to archive fast enough. However, the comments remain. None of them are really notable, although my personal theory is that a few of them might be written by sock accounts by the offending TiF in question.
What really gets me is that whoever created this account is going quite far in larping their yaoi fantasy, as several mushy posts are made about their huswife. I am also interested if there are any native Korean speakers that can weigh in at this user's comments written in Korean, as I have a feeling they're composed via G-Translate. It is also obvious that the typing style of this alleged gay Korean man who is not a native english speaker is far too similar to that of a female teenaged Tumblr user.

Yeah this looks like 1.The plot to a comic or 2. Some nerd playing out a fantasy that would make a likely popular BL type comic. This just doesn't come off as how any dude would handle the situation. Exactly what I thought too. In particular it stinks of the "fake relationship/dating" cliche that's recently become very popular among fujoshi. By popular I mean over 18,000 tagged fanfics, 11,800 of which are yaoi/slash.

How could anyone think this was written by a man? This is just not how men think, feel, or react to situations. The whole premise of a gay man falling in love with his secretly trans fiancee after letting her become her trooo self while under quarantine sounds like it was ripped straight from some crappy aO3 fanfiction. Everything about it absolutely screams "written by a frumpy, overweight woman who's never had a boyfriend before".

And I have seen TIFs claim that gay men find them attractive even when they're pre-everything, with their reasoning being that these gay men are attracted to their "masculine auras". Which is essentially the awkward teen girl fantasy of the out-of-your-league boy you like choosing you because he can see your inner beauty.
