So he opens a new account and hooks it up. If he arrived in Wisconsin too broke for a new account, he should have asked mom and pop to help with that before asking them to pay the way to Korea and Mexico to get lady parts installed. Then send a notarized letter to the old TD branch telling them to close the account and transfer any remaining funds to the new account. The new bank will almost certainly do the notarizing for free and even read the letter over first to tell him if he fucked it up and needs to start over.

College students and military figure this out and do it all the time - and a sorry percentage of the latter group actually have PTSD, not just troonic vapors.

It's not like he can blame Japan's restrictions on letting people in, he probably thinks they haven't imposed any, it took him six months after he decided he was going to live there to find out how to even start the Visa process.

As far as I've read they're only restricting travelers from South Korea, China, and Italy at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if they tighten things up, but as of right now Luke is still free to flee to Glorious Nippon where he will stealthily infiltrate Japanese society and live in comfort and safety.

You haven't lost a thing, Luke. Moving to Japan was just like every other milestone you've pursued over the years, thinking it would be the magic bullet that made you happy, followed by a crash into depression when it didn't.
