I would if it was free. Same reason I don't read his Angel Armor novels. Otherwise, it's not worth it because Linkara's work is always boring. I don't even expect it will be so bad it's good material or worth some laughs like Sonichu.

From what I heard, his mom still passes out copies of Angel Armor. But yeah, it's totally not worth the cost of just getting some extra laughs.

So, @MisterBee you seem to be very knowledgeable in Linkara's lore, I was wondering if you could you share why he got your interest? Was it something he did? Something objectionable you would like to share? or, are you just here for the entertainment value?

I'm very curious.

There is absolutely no way there wasn't someone in Linkara's fanbase who would've loved the opportunity to work on -- whatever he thought Lightbringer to be. He could've pulled the old exposure bit. "All of my followers are going to see your art and know who you are! It'll be great!" I imagine he had some vision in his head and turned away and free offers and decided to do it himself.
Nah, he both started and hired another artist before he was an e-celeb. I'm pretty sure he'd all but stopped by the time Atop the Fourth Wall was getting big. He even ghosted some other web cartoonists who he was doing a crossover event with and they were forced to finish it by themselves. His "creative vision" had nothing to do with it. He lost interest. And why not? His character is a lame Batman knockoff and the only unique touches he put in the comic were the rape and Objectivism stuff that he became embarrassed about later.

No one ever talks about his other comic revolution of the mask
I am actually surprised nobody scanned it, but as Pixy Misa said, it's probably too boring. Especially since it was supposed to be a twelve issue maxi-series inspired by Watchmen, so he was probably building up to something that we never got to see.
How many issues did he end up making anyway? I know it didn't finish.

This is what tells me that Lewis isn't really passionate about actually telling stories, just about getting that writer label. He acted like Revolution of the Mask was his big passion project, and he can't even be bothered to finish six issues? That's pathetic. Even if you're not making money off it, you could afford to finish six fucking issues if you really cared. He could eat the cost with his Patreon where it was back then. Even Zoe Quinn finished more issues than he did. Damn, that says it all.

And how pathetic is it that Lewis can't even get his dedicated, autistic fans who will give him money when he blatantly e-begs to pay his taxes, to buy his serious attempts at writing?

Either two or three. I know he got two out and he posted some art from a new artist he hired for issue three but I don't remember if it ever got finished. Though to be fair to Lewis, if I remember correctly the problem was the artists he was paying weren't working very fast (Unless he was only giving them one page at a time and not writing the script until they had finished the previous page which, knowing how he works, might have been how he did it) and eventually ghosted. I can empathize, the few times I tried to make a comic, the artist being slow as fuck or just disappearing was always a problem, and it's a recurring issue in comics outside of DC and Marvel.

See, with DC and Marvel, they wait until they're two or three issues ahead before they offer the first issue to retailers. And the artists are being paid enough to focus on the book, or if they start falling behind, the editor just hires a guest artist for an issue so they artist proper can skip that one and start work on the one after to make sure the deadlines aren't missed. As it was explained to me in creator-owned stuff, the book is solicited before the artist even starts drawing because that's when they get paid, not before, so most won't even start until they get their money, which is understandable because they need to make sure the bills are paid while they're working. But then they fall behind because the lack of editorial oversight means they can take their time on the issue. The better artists use this opportunity to fix errors they make or add more detail than they normally could at the big two. Most, unfortunately, just use it as an opportunity to slack off.

This is even worse in webcomics and self-publishing (I think Revolution was through a small publisher but it was almost the same as self-publishing) because there's even less chance of the book taking off, so the artists usually see the job as a waste of their time because they think it won't go anywhere. Even if they're getting paid, some artists lose interest because they're used to drawing on their own schedule when they're in the right mood, and then get pissy when you're asking them where the fuck the pages you paid for are. It's sad when Andrew Dobson working on the Brentalfloss comic is actually an example of a better work ethic than some people out there (His Samus commission is about the norm).

As for why Lewis doesn't just use his patreon money to make another comic, I think the fact that Lightbringer and RotM didn't immediately take off soured his mood on being a comic writer. So he'd rather just stick with what's worked for him in the past and not make any attempts to evolve.

You think he’s pissed that those things didn’t take off so he’s channeling rage into AT4W?

His mom did, and told him it was the bestest comic ever.
She had to take off a star for the sexy times though.

I do know a little about RotM because I read a couple of free preview pages, BTW. It opens with a couple having government mandated sex in a park while an angry incel our protagonist watches angrily.

Keen observers will notice a common thread with Lewis's other works.

Just half a star.

Ah, the glories of NTR. And Lewis has some shit he needs to work through.

To add in another nail to this coffin, I'm sure you've seen his reviews. Lewis fucking sucks at noticing narrative and story themes, amongst other things. To be a writer, you can't just sit down in front of a camera and snarkily retell a story whilst skimming what the fuck its premise is to "entertain people" while having once claimed to be a part of a circlejerk of fatheaded know it all know nothings trying to ride off of the residual knockoff wake James Rolfe made and claim to "have taste". The only other asshole I know who is doing this right is Bennett the Sage, and for being an anime Youtube nostalgia clickbaiter, he's outdoing Lewis by far.

That and Dunning Krueger. At least I love B grade shit and know why and what makes it so lovable, than act like some dickhead who plays extreme dualism with fucking comics or whatever form of entertainment.

In light of Bojack Horseman ending, and some shit about CA.

Bojack Horseman is a cartoon, not your therapist. Calm the fuck down, Lovhaug. And until you and other people like you on your side acknowledge that Lupa is a toxic turbo bitch, your expounding on the flaws of Doug, Rob, and Brad will always ring hollow and hypocritical.

For reference, this is all a reaction to Doug making a video saying Duckman was ahead of its time by being anti-PC, which Lupa of course had to bitch about on Twitter because that's basically all she does now.

Jesus Christ, this sperg still doesn't know how to use Twitter.

I don't know how you can watch a show of any kind and then use that as inspiration to write a novella about your feelings towards people you haven't talked to in over two years.

I mean...fuck dude.

He's still trying to find moral high ground when he allies himself with people that shielded a rapist for political reasons over the three guys that fired the same rapist after a swift but conclusive investigation.
