Because they're not characters. They are just things. Empty shells aside from wires and spooky ghosts. There's nothing to identify with.
 
Five Nights at Faglords is terrible. The story is almost completely speculation, the "characters" show no personality, and they arent even very fun games. This fad needs to die off. Hopefully, three is the last game.

My mother has asthma really bad and manages it with an over the counter medication called Bronkaid. An inhaler isn't always necessary, so Springy here is an idiot.

But then, we wouldn't be here otherwise.
