Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

The big problem is with Yaniv and people going in depth with how he is a second generation Israeli immigrant and somehow was in bed with the Twitter guy. I don't mind a mention, but really all that needs to be said is that him being Jewish probably helped with his networking. I don't feel the conspiracy goes deeper than that.

It's difficult to say with Jennings but really any sort of political clatter is undesirable. It's better to just focus on the cow and the content rather than political leanings. It's not even that I'm afraid of alienating left vs right as I am alienating people who try to enjoy things and not make the world an endless ideological tug of war. It's not really a policy that can be put into words as it's more a feeling of temperature and climate.

I think Null's getting a little burnt out running the place, and most of the complaints are probably worded like 'A&H is invading X thread.'

The problem is that getting rid of A&H would just make them go into other areas of the site more. I would ban them altogether or just limit them to off-topic.

I understand that it only seems to be a handful of users, but it's clear the longer A&H fags spend their time on KF, the chance of them spreading their speg/a-log jews/niggers/trannies/muslims/california bad (or whatever other r.etarded /pol/ topic of the week) into other threads increases as well.

It only makes sense to address A&H as a whole. Null has attempted to address the issue in more subtle ways (like this exact thread for example), but it is clearly still a problem that everyone who joined for the purpose of contributing to the cancer that is A&H needs to clearly understand.

Tbh I wouldn't even miss A&H if it was removed. I enjoy checking in on A&H for strange news, but it has attracted some of the most annoying, unfunny, garbage users I've encountered on the site since joining. This is a website for laughing at cows, not for a-logging trannies and humorless hot on how (((they))) are to blame for literally everything.

Yes. Those are the very topics this entire site was founded upon. It's not that difficult to understand. A&H was an afterthought and has been nuked in the past because it became out of control for the same reasons A&H is an issue today.
