The Mint shit is really weird. Dick decides to help out one of his artists because her parents sperged out too hard (seriously, taking her off the health insurance as a show of force?) and people act like Dick crossed some magical line which led to everyone else sperging out. The Mint situation seemed to fix itself quickly anyway since her parents apologized.

Yeah, I think that's what everyone's suspecting. Dick's never acted this strange about a lady before. I guess since Mint's a 19 year old who actually paid some sperglord to fuck her, Dick's jealous and wants a piece of that too. Dick's wealthy and in a position of power, owns a nice place, and he's dealing with a girl who's doing whatever she can to not stay with her parents.

Not just any girl, but a young super fan who idolizes him. Wouldn't be the first time he's taken advantage of one of those (see: some redditor's convo with a hometown acquaintance of JLH).

It's also worth noting how bad and deviantart-tier Mint's art is. When she isn't straight up tracing over photos, her stuff looks like it would fit in with a gallery of mlp characters eating and shitting each other out. Dick refused to let other hack orbiters like Crippled Jesus onto NP2, but set this girl up with one, no question. Really makes you think

Yeah the anti-O community is at this point a creepy hivemind of A-loggery, but Onision's 9-11 call complaining about Chris Hansen being at his door was hilarious.

The funny thing is this may turn Dax into the beautiful lolcow butterfly through sheer spergery and stubbornness. We've always known Dick had his spergy moments, but since his entire persona (and personality let's be honest) is premised around not apologizing, he can't backtrack. At the same time, he can't not talk about his detractors because he's just that thin-skinned and winds up sticking his dick into a hornet's nest. It's sad and hilarious and I can't look away. I always suspected that he'd become a sad, pathetic joke, but I thought it would be when he was in his fifties rather than now.
 
I don't understand why yhe possibility that Dick fucks women aside from his girlfriend causes such tardrage, but then, I wouldn't have expected Catholic nofap retards to listen to TDS. It's a weird world.

Anyway, we'll just have to see if next week's show is the continuing saga of "What? I'm not trying to fuck her! Fuck you!!"
 
Truth be told I do think gator is partly correct. They see Dick seemingly exploiting this 'poor, young, naive damsel in distress with her whole future in front of her!' and at least subconsciously think they could save her, which then makes them even more resentful because they see her still being friendly with Dick and even socializing IRL with him even though in this case Dick is clearly in the Wrong™, while also in a relationship with someone they think is bad for her (the polar opposite of how they would be for her!).

Personally I found the original segment uncomfortable and thought it was a horrible idea for them to call her parents live on air, but Dick's defense for it is solid. For years he has literally given some of the most extreme and potentially ill advised advice to people who ask, and everyone knows it (and if they don't realise that's part of his shtick they're as dumb as a rock). Except this time it was a young girl in their '''community''' feuding with her parents, and not some schlubby mid 20's guy wanting to know how to have his cake and eat it too.

A 20 year old woman knows exactly what's going on when she participates in a comedy gossip podcast. It amuses me that when Dick keeps the podcast quaint and friendly the accusations come up that the show is boring, but when he willfully injects drama he's now the prick. Can't please everyone.

I think it's more that it's just really funny that Dick, for all his talk of threesomes on the show, would rather eat shit than mention his polyamorous lifestyle on air. He'll trip over himself to not mention it, and bringing it up to him is a great way to get blocked.

Accusing people of being jealous is intentionally missing the point, though. No one cares that Dick is giving a dumb girl bad advice. They're mad because she's bad content you can smell from a mile away, and Dick very transparently brought her on the show so he could white knight for her and flex on her dad. Had is openly gay, something Dick was aware of, but the jealousy angle is "funnier" so of course Dick will run with that.

It's not good content, but whatever Had's intention, I finished the episode with the same impression as Gator-- "Why is she with Riley she should be with meeeee!"

Terrible show content, though. I didn't get on the listen that Dick had pulled Had in. I thought he'd answered a call from Had. Knowing what I know now, Had makes more sense and seems less faggoty.

I miss shit because I just listen so I get something to chuckle at at work. TDS used to be two or three hours of funney. Now half of it is cringe and the other 40 percent is anxiety-inducing news articles. Fucks sake I just want entertainment.

What I don't give a shit about is who Dick is fucking, except insofar as it's funny. A lot of the TDS fans seem legitimately pissed that he possibly does threesomes or cucks 80s Girl or whatever. Anyone who says it's wrong for a 40 year old to fuck a 20 year old either isn't 40 yet or has no cock.
