Somebody released a fight animation! https://youtube.com/watch?v=LbZescu7Q18
Fight choreography was fine. Don't know a damn thing about Akame Ga Kill, but the creator seemed to have a solid grasp on Yang's abilities and how to utilize them in a fight (Mile, take notes here). The only complaints I had were that the dialogue was weak as fuck and the sound mixing was really off a couple of times.

Would you say that it was a better display of Yang’s combat abilities than the show proper? I’ve heard the same thing he said when Death Battle did Weiss vs Mitsuru.

I don't remember when or where, but I remember Akame ga Kill being described as "weeb 14 year olders roleplaying on an anime forum" and having read the manga...it's almost too accurate of a description.

Well, the creator actually used the rage ability instead of forgetting its an option or just making her enemies jobbers that wouldn't even require it. That said, I haven't watch the last couple of seasons, so maybe, MAYBE Miles actually had her fight someone and she made use of her abilities.

Was on Discord, and this popped up.

I love how this person says this like it really matters - The issue was that Yang, up until this point, hasn't cared about her sister. There were plenty of times where Yang should've shown concern, but it wasn't until Ruby had a mental breakdown that she did

The reaction to the truth... Wasn't the issue people had, it was that the RWBY were fucking hypocrites, since they spent the last two seasons complaining about how secrets were kept from them, and they pull this shit.

"There are no consequences in RWBY".

Still aren't as far as I'm concerned. Robyn Hill doesn't have to pay for what she's done.
Ruby still hasn't faced the consequences for lying, since they're acting as if they have a moral highground for trying to tell Ironwood that he's wrong in his plan (not gonna give spoilers on that).

Honestly, if you ask me, I feel as if Ruby and Co AREN'T taking responsibility for their stupidity. It's their fault that caused this situation with Ironwood because for some DUMB reason, they decided that they couldn't tell Ironwood the truth, despite the fact that they should've learned from what they had to deal with... And they aren't really accepting it.

Some fans are just delusional.

I got that, I meant about why yang suddenly cares.
*shrug* I guess the critics finally got through to the writers.

Without giving spoilers...you know Price and Soap’s position of standing in COD: Modern Warfare 3? My prediction is Team RWBY will be forced to be that.

Edit: I think this is spoiler free enough to share.

Who cares? How? RWBY is about as dark as an episode of Carebears if you handed them a bunch of plastic toy weapons.

This whole "edgy darks very omg violence is good and mature writing by default" shit has gone on for far too long.

... If anyone is legit scared of Salem, they don't know anything about intimidating villains. Throw in the fact that Salem's design just screams "EDGE" and that she sounds like a stereotypical bad guy... And I mean...

She's not scary. I know it's subjective, but seriously, she is not scary. She controls creatures that can easily be killed, if not for the fact that the heroes are so dumb that they don't attack the gooey black underbellies and hit the specific armored parts, has to rely on her flunkies, who more than often than not need to rely on coincidence in order to get their plans done, and she's lazy as all hell.

I do not see how she's actually a threat.

Ah, I see you’re familiar with the ways of mid 2000s PS2.

I’m not so sure about the lazy part. I’d say that’s the show abusing “villain sits in lair and relies on minions for everything” cliche. And yes, those minions have been incompetent, as well as lacking in numbers.
