I agree with you. My point originally was just that this thread often looks freerepublic.com with less boomers and more twitter screenshots. People lean too hard into the lazy 'suck it libtard' posts sometimes. Also about every 40 pages or so someone comes into the thread and might as well have posted bait.jpg based on the page of responses that follows. It's a weird thread dynamic that doesn't exist elsewhere.

Yeah really were at a point where the right generally speaking is pretty ok with criticizing Trump. I've even seen some of it in this thread. Here I'll add in another: more or less ignoring his base since he got into office. I never see anyone of the left bring that one up, god forbid they relate to some rural or suburban retard in pursuit of their goals.

It's astonishing how far Trump's critics are willing to go to be on the opposite side of him and pretend his the stupid one when they barely even understand the situation as is.

This attitude just repeats ad infintum and gets old fast.

Hell, I did just the above where I outright said I do not like the man on a personal level. That post is well upvoted because I am not using my dislike of him to slag him and instead giving commentary on the nature of the election cycles.

You can slag on Trump all you want in here, just make it actually worth reading instead of being JUST to slag on him.

I think that Trump is a giant, egotistical asshole. However, I find him pissing off the other egotistical assholes hilarious. He's also been surprisingly successful in doing things I thought would fail. Finally, the more the media and Democrats lie about him and actively seek to destroy him, even if it means ignoring the reason why they were put there, the more I enjoy him turning the screws to them.

Like any public figure who's in a position of power, I separate the man from the office as much as possible.

Do I think he's a blowhard who's used his gutter instincts to go toe to toe with the NYC mob and come out ahead on the real estate market? Yeah. Those gutter instincts are just fine for a politician to have and take into political dogfights. Do I think his haircut is stupid. Yes. But that doesn't matter. Does he say some embarassing shit on the world stage? Yeah, but that's fine, at least it's off teleprompter and you don't wonder if that's how he feels, so I'm fine with it even though it makes me cringe. Do I think he's a racist? Nope. I think he's reacted to things that other people tar him with the racism brush over, but what do I give a fuck? His political policies have been decidedly good for Black America in a way that no other leader has done before.

Not even the banging a porn star and other chicks while his wife was 8+ months pregnant and then recovering from giving birth bothers me. Why? Because that's between him and his wife, and to be honest, I'm pretty sure how that went. He came home with big dick gorilla energy after power-bombing some other real estate developer and dragging his swollen nuts across his defeated rivals face, looked at his wife and went "I'M FUCKING HORNY! RAWR!" and she crossed her legs and went "Bang that fucking porn star, my fucking pussy hurts from squeezing out a cantelope" and everyone was happy, including the porn star when the check cleared.

Do I think it matters? No. JFK bent Marilyn Monroe over the desk in the Oval Office and fucked her raw in her asshole and the Dems didn't care then.

There's plenty of shit about him I don't like. But looking at his political records, he's over the 50% line of agree/disagree and I'm willing to support him on that.

The fact he makes all the creatures from the soy lagoon reeeeee and shit themselves is icing on the cake.

If it was a question of who to invite over for dinner, that's easy. Goldwater was a gentleman and a fine conversationalist. With Johnson, you'd need to count the silver and give the dog a pregnancy test afterward.

Trump's obesity wasn't lifelong. He got fat after he got old, like a lot of people do. As for the adultery, well, if adultery disqualified one from public office, half of the kings in the Bible (and nearly all of the kings in Western history) would've been tossed out on their ear as soon as they'd taken office. You don't have to be a moral paragon to be put into a public office and used by God for His purposes. And I'd rather have a brash, pleasure loving braggart who loves his country and tries to do right by his people in charge of things than a Bible thumper who keeps his dick in his pants and mouths godly platitudes, but sends soldiers to die on some blasted wasteland because he wanted to get into a dick-waving contest with some Muhammeds.

Remove the politics from the equation and it's a dynamic on quite a number of places on the farms. Off the top of my head the Metokur thread and (basically) the entire Weeb Wars section come to mind.

It's called using a good point. I full on admit this thread gets tribalistic at times, but honestly? Almost no one who dislikes Trump who came into this thread, including yourself, really are that good at arguing why beyond muh morals or other wishy-washy excuses.

Honestly? The r/the_donald thread is far worse. The subreddit is a creepy cult of tards, but the thread almost never discusses it. Instead they ree about how Trump supporters are racist and how paid Trump advertising on various sites doesn't let you choose 'he sucks' and so Trump is the real snowflake. It's very boring and the worst community thread I've visited, just because you have more autistic slap fighting than on topic posts.

I guess. I just didn't want to see the thread cluttered with some of the back and forth crap with certain users. I also think you're coming a little too hard on the guy compared to other people that really like flinging muck around. I say just let it go.
