It had to branch off from r/opiates because people wanted a place to keep track of the content, so I assume it's mostly just a community validating/enabling itself as with their sfw content, although based on how all the male submissions get downvoted to zero, it says a lot about the demographics of that group. I'd recommend r/opiates to anybody looking for an oddball community to watch, it has some good self-aware depression posting/apathy memeing mixed in with fent alerts and "x has died" posts. If only Luna was so fun to read.

But I still don't get where the sex appeal is in seeing people fuck their bodies up with stuff that shouldn't be in their bodies to begin with and will only lead them to an early grave. Seriously, where even is the sexiness in that?

Finding flattering angles has been the pride and joy of husky chicks for a long time. For whatever reason (probably drugs), Luna completely fails at finding an angle that doesn't make her look like she's made of tapioca and skin. There's been one or two pics I've seen where i could say "shoot, I might swipe right on that one..." if I was trawling tinder. But a vast majority of her candid shots are beguilingly atrocious. This just proves that there will always be someone hornier than you are fat, dumb, or ugly.

Most of the posters there don't follow Luna's childish aesthetic/mopey view of addiction, they're pragmatic about their death-spirals, and will do their best to remain functional until they lose interest and either binge/die or go clean (some of them do). A lot of them hold down jobs and dope up because they aren't having fun with life, and don't really care what happens to them as a result. This leads to the best part of the regular sub, which is the random stories written with a level of detachment/plain-speaking about the subject (1, 2, 3). The primary audience for that nudes sub in particular is just socialising with other addicts who don't give a shit, possibly similar to how a guy in the military may be attracted to a woman in uniform, or if you post in an online community nudes of the members are inherently more interesting than strangers - it appeals because it's part of your circle of experience and you have a better appreciation of the dynamics around it. Whether junkies or alcoholics, the sex/companionship drive remains intact. If you compare r/opiates to, say, r/cripplingalcoholism, it'll make the former almost seem like a cheery, fun place.

Sorry for derailing but Luna is boring at the moment, and self-aware junkies can be neat.
 
Whether it be watching junkies kill themselves or encouraging fatties to feed themselves. It all comes from a sick fascination to see how far one can push and how much one has control.
Right now Luna isn’t seeing the disgust, she’s seeing the desperation to get her next fix - thats all she cares about.
 
So earlier today @catflatulence told me they saw Tuna post asking for help with getting ID, on this post someone commented saying they gave Luna money in November for ID and demanded to know where the money went, in typical Tuna fashion she deleted the post instead of addressing the question that was put to her.
But worry not as another of her FB friends having seen the original post decided she would offer Luna help seeing as she supposedly had the money given to her in November, knowing that she was on the verge of being rumbled she pulled out her trump card, yes that’s it, the depressed/suicidal/sad card, stating that the ID is now the least of her worries leaving the friend with no choice but to say “get help”

Below is the post mentioned above along with a one of the many selfies she took today, I chose this one specifically because she is very obviously high in this picture.

Not only is sadness and suicidal behavior a great aesthetic, but also a great excuse for theft, manipulation, and lying. Way to go, Luna!
 
She is such a fucking bitch. At least be an honest doped up whore and admit you spent the money on drugs instead of making lame ass excuses as to why you don't have to have your shit together.
 
What a fucking nightmare. She is a disingenuous unrepentant selfish junkie. She doesn't want to recover. She wants to lie in bed all day getting sympathy and encouragement for breathing. You want to save her? Throw her ass in jail or put a bullet between her eyes. You will not get her to change on her own. It's not even fun to watch her destroy herself, it's covered in literal blood and shit as per her "aesthetic". I'm not MOTI, I just really loathe junkies. Especially the ones that pretend to want help to get money/attention.
