Pokemon is going to die by a thousand cuts just like Warcraft did. You can already see the retarded gameplay decisions that have taken root.

I... what? You seem to be objecting to, like, standard fantasy plot no. 3. They do this so that the main and perspective character knows as much about the world as the viewer, and thus is prompted to ask and learn for us.
And the games don’t treat all humans as great. The first game had a festering asshole second human, and Gates to Infinity said most of the humans who came down were defeated. Add on that there’s always a second, natural Pokémon who helps you the whole way through to the end, and I feel like your ‘only humans save the world’ take falls apart.
And that’s all putting aside that you looked at a civilisation of talking animals and your mind went straight to Wakanda.
You're forgetting that there's nothing shown as unique to humans in most of these games, and the person has to be a Pokemon to do nearly everything that they do. And the person chooses to leave the human world behind to be a Pokemon. No my mind didn't went to Wakanda, my mind went to superior race tries to fix the problems of inferior race. I think Far Cry has that as its premise so maybe it is less racist and more acceptable than I think (especially if you use fantasy races).
I wish I could agree here, I love Emerald but hate the changes made in ORAS. Kirby-tier difficulty with very little of that brutal Kirby postgame challenge.I think the best games in the "core series" are OR/AS. Especially because of the secret bases, the free flying, and the underwater.
The original Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald are pretty good too.
Also I like how there's tubers in those games.
What's that? Too easy or hard?Kirby-tier difficulty
Extremely easy. You should play Kirby games, they're very chill unless you go for 100%.What's that? Too easy or hard?
I like the Battle Test thing in OR/AS. Only 5 battles, and even if you lose, you still go on to the highest level of difficulty. A level of difficulty that could take hundreds of battles at Battle Tower to get - if it doesn't all reset because of a single loss. Also the Battle Test doesn't make you save before doing it.
I like the name mustard it's a silly name.
I'm really curious what the levels are gonna be at? 70s like it should? How long could it possibly be if they are actually going to want you to run a new team with this (not)starter.
Well, don't forget that after Fates came Three Houses, which was a supermassive, standalone, superpopular game. This reminds me of the fire emblem fates shit where the other two games were $20 a piece if you spent $50/60 on the main game.
Honestly, the GTS might be more automated, but I vastly prefer the Link Code system. I don't have to sift through millions of requests for a level 69 Shiny Arceus to find something useful, all I need is a few appropriate pokemon, an active pokemon discord channel, and a pin code that isn't a meme. It's easy to do a bunch of trades in succession, as well.Reminder that the GTS is locked behind Home, scummy as fuck

There's some exceptions - like the Dimensional Scream - but those are unique to the person, and it's implied that Pokemon can occasionally have it as well.
You're reading a thousand miles deep into 'hey, wouldn't it be cool if I could use thunderbolt like a Pikachu?'
The game gives you plenty of that, but if you want the gameplay without the story the post game gives you that in spades.Maybe I would like the game better if it was like the actual game Rogue where you go into a dungeon for treasure and glory and thats it instead of a storyline that really wants you to cry at the final minute because they say it is time to be sad and character development is for the queers.
I'm still amazed at how Vinny managed to get AI Dungeon to get that. Funny references aside...It does sound like it's giving a blowjob like a champ.
They said there will be other methods to obtain the older mons. They just listed trading as one of them. The GTS for example. Yes, the returning old mons are technically free, but only through other people who've bought the pass themselves, Home (which we still don't know the cost of) or the mercy of Surprise Trades. With the ease of GTS gone, there's just a little bit more incentive for the impatient.
I will just say this, I do not want to slog through a subpar story just to play the game, is the reason why i skipped the latest in the mainline when it seems that they are trying to beat the previous generations record in bad story amd cutscenes.
Trading in Sword/Shield is a major pain due to the lack of a GTS, it's just not worth it if all you have is peer-to-peer tradingThey said there will be other methods to obtain the older mons. They just listed trading as one of them.
I said it before and I'll say it again: If your main complaint about the GTS and the reason why you're happy it's gone is "I don't have to dig through countless crap trades to find what I want now!" then you used it wrong. Using the GTS "correctly" means YOU post the trade requests and wait for your request to be accepted, almost all reasonable trade requests that don't involve Legendaries are eventually accepted.Honestly, the GTS might be more automated, but I vastly prefer the Link Code system. I don't have to sift through millions of requests for a level 69 Shiny Arceus to find something useful, all I need is a few appropriate pokemon, an active pokemon discord channel, and a pin code that isn't a meme.
