Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Anyway, its rather annoying the way the board is populated by euphoric magatards. Either obsessively police everyone or no one. (prefrtably the latter)

If you legitimately believe that I'm singling you out and being unfair about the messages that I'm deleting, feel free to write a complaint about me in Talk to Staff. I'm not a staff member so I can't even read anything that you write about me in there, it would just be between you and the higher-ups. I was told to yeet shallow thoughts and stuff like Jew sperging so that's what I've been doing. If I've been doing it too heavy-handedly, you'll get to see me slapped for it.

He posted too many baiting "shallow thoughts" that crapped up threads and hotlinked from a Reddit post. The second part isn't a joke, that was a contributing factor to why he got banned from A&H. I didn't even know that was a rule until Mini the Pooh got nuked for it.

Mr. Tickles is a very strange specimen to me.

Gonna powerlevel a bit, but I'm Chinese-Taiwanese. I'm surrounded by family members and associates who do business in China, and have become wealthy because of it. If any of them talk about politics, it'd be all Trump and no CCP. Of course they would have a vested interest in the country doing well, because there's a lot at stake if everything goes under.

Even so, not a single one of them would have ever gone to bat for China as strongly as this guy. So while I'm not sure if his ban was deserved, I can agree that he'd been very exhausting to deal with.

Anyone who defends a bootlicking authoritarian government because at least they also oppress the darkies, women, and faggots better than we do is either being deliberately contrarian to troll or is so broken and pathetic they take comfort that at least someone else is getting oppressed worse.

Given his IRL job is a dead-end gig as a rent-a-cop, the latter seems more believable to me.

No, he actually revealed in one post that he was purposefully defending China so that when he saved up enough money from his security job he could move there, and "live like a king". It's not a stretch of the imagination to guess that he makes so many pro-China posts because he foolishly, and arrogantly thinks it'll put him in good graces with the CCP, and that he'll be spared from their organ harvesting rings. He is a literal shill that defends a totalitarian regime just for his own disgusting selfish benefits.

Kind of on topic but I'll give you a bedtime story about quite the exceptional shitposter on a certain pay2win pixel tanks forums page who claimed to be an early retiree who flew some 40k hours in commercial airliners for several various airlines and even was the guy who test flew a private jet for John Wayne when he was looking to buy one :story: oh and he was currently living in a penthouse overlooking a beach in Rio with his supermodel wife. Well cracks began to form in his story and eventually he pissed off the wrong people who found and confirmed he was some thirtysomething college dropout living with his mom and stepdad who ran some sort of security alarm company in bumfuck Ohio.

I find it absolutely fascinating that A&H is narrow-minded enough that even a slight concern about WW3 because Trump bombed a Middle Eastern country is met with disgust and fantastic worship of Trump. Meanwhile, it's blended with /pol/ rejects that believe Israel or "Zionists" are directly responsible with Trump's decision to send airstrikes to Iran.

Especially so, that even discussions from Supervisors such as @Cosmos or Dear Leader himself is not immune to the fervor that awaits having a different opinion. As an aside, how did China get into that discussion? If you're defending China's authoritarian government, just wait until you're not useful anymore to them. They'll sell you down the river in a heartbeat.

China got into the discussion because Null countered the prevailing circlejerk that China's all of one recession from a complete economic collapse and you're a hysterical libtard or something if you view them as a viable threat.

Null was the one who changed the topic to China, and was also the one having a shit fit over people disagreeing with him, telling people to fuck off for merely pointing out that outside of the coasts and cities, the regional dialects are so different it's almost another language. He also strawmanned everyone saying China projects more internal unity than they have as calling them 'rice niggers'. It was like Mr. Tickles wearing a Null suit.
