Also falls into the more general sales and persuasion tactic of anchoring. It's probably ingrained into his behavior at this point. He just asks the best expert he has on hand what the number is, he adds 20-100% to it, and replaces the first two zeroes with a 3 and a 7 to make it seem carefully chosen.

Oh yeah, I'm sure the Pentagon was totally blindsided by the bombing of Soleimani. It's not like they collected the intelligence on where he was in the first place, or sent the drone and Trump just gave approval. It's also not like Pentagon generals were unhappy with Trump deescalating in Syria and Iraq, meaning they're more hawkish than he is. I'm sure they totally didn't support this and weren't at all advocating for it. That lone wolf madman Trump personally remote control flew the drone out there and pushed the button to drop the bomb all by himself from the Oval Office.

Also that metaphor is so much worse than mine from a page or two ago. The molotov must be the bomb that killed Soleimani, right? Unless this retard is blaming Trump for the Shah somehow, which at this point I might believe. But if the molotov is the killing of Soleimani, how the fuck did Iran have fire extinguishers? They didn't exactly stop it from doing its job. Or is the molotov Trump's Tweet about retaliatory bombings to any attack? Because a Tweet is so much worse than actually firing missiles and shooting down a Ukrainian plane.

I think that is exactly their problem. They believe that if they keep repeating the same story among themselves with absolute conviction, it will somehow become the general belief and acquire the force of Truth.

This actually worked for a little while, when they controlled the narrative. They don't anymore. But like good little cargo cultists, they still think they can make it work if they do the same tired shit that has been failing for years now.

It's one of their go-to attacks. Somewhere hundreds of pages ago in this thread there was discussion of the last time they brought up the Adderall thing. Pretty sure there was talk about the drawer full of 'UK Sudafed' back then also.

I'm pretty sure the idiots were freaking out about it containing ingredients not included in the US version. That ingredient was paracetamol aka acetaminophen. Also I think the UK version doesn't even contain pseudoephedrine but phenylephrine instead. Neither of those ingredients cause even the slightest buzz.
