It's also not surprising if you consider the type of woman who would reproduce with this type of cro magnon in the first place. In all honesty, you're clearly not starting out with a woman of optimal judgement or intelligence. Considering his violent criminal history and obvious antisocial tendencies, it's more likely than not he was/is physically abusive, so even if she is around she's probably scared shitless of him. Completely denying him custody would likely require a court order and moving far enough away that he'd have trouble finding them. I've seen women do this, but they have to be strong, smart, and ideally have a solid support network. I somewhat doubt this poor kid's mom has any of those things, and I think most people don't fully appreciate how difficult it actually is to sever parental custody. You need a lot more than a hunch and some dodgy instagram photos.

Which is very unfortunate for this kid, because I have no doubt our collective hunches are correct. But... yeah.
