Doesn't looks like it and we don't really want him back anyway.

I see that the Julien-Lou arc (w/e the new senpai faggot antagonist is called) has had no closure yet. Only French reposts for the past few weeks? Labelle moving away made him boring.

Billy doesn't do "closures". His plots all follow the formula of
1) Introduce plot point
2) Have the characters talk trans politics for 20 strips
3) Start new storyline and never bring up the plot point from 1 ever again

Yes, that would be good writing and we can't have that can we.

I keep checking in every now and then, but Labelle just doesn't have the oompf from his beginnings anymore. It used to be one of the worst products of the SJW back in 2016, but now we have crazier people than the shut in drawing bad comics. Like Rhys and Yaniv, and many more who don't only hold a crazy dangerous ideology, but actively push to harm females. Labelle in comparison, only passively pushes the dogma.

Man, fuck this French shit. Does this freak intend to ever make any more original groaningly didactic tranny content, or am I just wasting my fucking time here??

We should demand translations in other languages. “Dear Sophie, Assigned Male is our favourite comic. My fellow Palestinians love your endorsement of freedom! But I am the only one who speaks English.”, we would love a translation so all can enjoy it!” “Dear Sophie, we at the Cornish Liberation Front...”

So about this marriage is there any sort of official record either in Canada or Finland? :optimistic: or is all of it just Labellend's tall tales?
Most likely it's just lies. Of course, Labelle can always post a picture of himself and his hubby to disprove the haters, but I don't think he will.

How much of a market can there possibly be for bullshit that literally only appeals to male pedos trying to live their masturbatory fantasies of being "hawt" prepubescent girls? I mean, seriously, there are way more of those guys than there should be, but are there really enough to justify not one but two separate artists' booths full of merch that only appeals to that particular group of degenerates?

I don’t think that there being more of the weirdos is quite the reason the market seems large. Hear me out on this.
People who are massively into a subculture are more likely to spend lots of money on that subculture, like a weeb with a room full of posters and figures and stuff like that. This trans stuff seems to attract those type of people as well, people in the culture who will buy anything to be involved. So, they are also more likely to show up for their favorite trans comic holding a meet and greet or a booth or at a con or whatever.
Combine that with the basic idea of “either sell 20 things for $5 a pop or 5 things for $20,” and you get the same things furry artists or other fandom specific people have been doing for a long time. Chances are that people like the trans or the furries aren’t nearly as prevalent as the gatherings would lead you to believe, they just travel for it because it’s what they do as part of this subculture.
That’s my theory anyways.

There is some evidence that trans culture is attractive to autistic people and as we know people with that condition can get super fixed on hobby for a long time. Add to that fashion element and teenage behavior you can make money. Not super huge sums but noticeably enough. Also most people selling in these types of art corners aren’t there actually to make money, it’s more of place to show off your crafts and have fun with people into same things as you are.

My understanding is that this stuff doesn't sell because people want to own it (Billy's comic books are just collections of his strips anyway), but because they want to "support trans creators". The communities that are into this kind of stuff HEAVILY punish wrongthink, and there's a lot of pressure to toss all the money you can afford, and preferably more, at these creators and their patreons in order to not be an evil transphobe nazi.

This is different from furries and other communities with uncommon fetishes, where people just want art that appeals to them and are willing to toss money at whoever provides it. LOTS of lesser artists do furry art and other fetish art on commission because there's legitimately a lot of money in it - furries and their ilk have deep pockets and aren't necessarily that picky about quality as long as they get some creative control of the content of their fap fuel.

Remember that Flamingo Rampant thing Billy wrote a book for, which published books written by all kinds of "oppressed" creators? They had no option for buying individual books, you had to buy their entire set of books about lesbian muslims and trans womyn of colyr and whatever it was they were putting out. Why? Because you weren't supposed to buy these books because you were interested in their content, but because you were supporting their writers. And only an evil nazi shitlord would literally murder some of these authors by actively choosing to NOT buy their book, so everyone had to buy everything.

I was like, that doesn't sound too bad -it'd be nice to have some books that just happened to have a lesbian couple, or a trans character, being people with personalities and there's a story there that's not about forced diversity. I googled that book the kid is holding. It's part of a six book set. And -any good thoughts, dashed. First, the tagline on the publishers (a painful eyesore straight out the 90's) website is "books and more for gender independent kids and families". Oh, and here's a helpful infograph on the kickstarter (because all legit publishers need a kickstarter to publish books.)

View attachment 315297

That book: "It is about a three parent family of superheroes inside a diverse and loving community. Roark flies, Nova can make fire, and Victoria can talk with her mind. Now, they’re also having a baby! At the baby shower, an urgent call comes in to Granny Awesome for help at the wolf sanctuary. The guests fly off to give their assistance and return to a wonderful surprise."

The rest of the books in the bundle (sold in a bundle because, "Why a bundle? Bundling a book is a method used by Flamingo Rampant to center marginalized stories. Because the books are bundled, people don’t have the option of getting all of the books except the one about a Muslim family or all of the books except the one about a three parent family."

Maybe I don't want my hypothetical kids to think it's okay to be in a threesome.
  • 47,000 Beads: a pow wow story of a 2 Spirit kid, and the beautiful community that coalesces to support that kid’s desire to live (and dance!) authentically.
  • Bell’s Knock Knock Birthday: a birthday party counting book featuring a gender independent kid with sound effects, kids, and cake – together!
  • Moondragon in the Mosque Garden: a mischievous and magical story set at a community Eid celebration, featuring two gay dads and their twins.
  • The Last Place You Look: a charming Passover Seder story of two lesbian bubbies and a lost afikomen that cannot be found.
  • Rachel’s Christmas Boat: a Christmas story of a young girl who goes to great lengths to make the holiday wonderful for her parent who has come out as trans during Advent.
I didn't realize that "Rachel's Christmas Boat" is the one Sophie did. Of course, it makes sense in hindsight after rereading the summary. The art looks terrible on the cover.

EDIT: Googled the publisher, they're still around, but it looks like they dropped their forced bundles and now just sell books individually instead. Apparently there wasn't all that much money in telling your customers you didn't want their business unless they bought exactly what you told them to buy, whoda thunk.
