He was the classic example of 'I'd never have guessed'. Whether you liked his stuff or not, in his appearances he always came across as a goofy, friendly guy - just happy to be there and clowning around with his buddies. When he committed suicide, there was a good deal of sadness, and I can understand why.

Then the hideous truths came out.

Rupert Thorne said it best: The brighter the picture, the darker the negative. Diddlers have a talent for keeping their creeper side hidden and fooling their closest friends and relatives with their hum-dee-dum demeanor. You gotta keep an eye on those who associate with younger audiences, no matter what content they produce. Humans are bound to blur the lines between personal and professional when not having strong mental self control.

What's prolly more disgusting is that the TGWTG board knew. They were aware of his behaviour and didn't alert anyone, preferring to protect their image rather than making sure their personnel and their audience is okay. They squeezed crocodile tears out for the tragedy but dodged the proven allegations like politicians. Masking the chat logs doesn't help if you're sloppy and underestimate the austistic sleuths who fucked you over a single letter fragment and association skills.

When that Count Jackula guy told his story (in a now deleted video) it made my skin crawl at the sheer recklessness of Justin's MO. Maybe Fudge Packula adorned his story a little with extra detail, seeing that the drama was at its height, but still... ew. Maybe gonna rake in the low ratings now but I don't feel sorry for Armzgurl and her wasted tribute. Dunno, what came out about her and #kickvic just extinguished the compassion. All in all, people knew and kept it hidden, others straight fell for it. Glad I never watched him.

I'd like to say most people would agree with you on this one, myself included. I genuinely felt sorry for her because she legit didn't know that her best friend, who killed himself no less, was a sex pest. That kind of thing would be traumatizing to anyone.

(Though if it were me I'd have cut all ties with #CTC as soon as I found out since several of them, including Allison and Dan Olson, admitted to trying to keep the whole thing under wraps, not unlike CA really).

Then she went fucking ballistic during #KickVic and any sympathy I had towards her evaporated.

I'd rather just know him as the rapist who commited suicide over the guy who got me into Kamen Rider and Japanese imports through You Can Play This.

When Projared went under during his big fiasco I couldn't look at Monster Hunter or Final Fantasy the same way for a while because it would always remind me of him.

To be fair, to enjoy things you most of the time either have to forget about the fanbase surrounding the thing you like or even forget what brought you there in the first place.

My pleasure; In the midst of the groomer disclosure, that Count Jackula dude told a video story about how he's been at a con with some TGWTGers including Justin. The story was one half event report from a victimized female friend of his, the other half where he came in after something happened but was left bewildered and clueless then.

1st Part: The female friend reviewer got piss arse drunk and Justin eagerly played her chaperone by escorting her to her room. When they arrived he walked inside as well, and the woman was too intoxicated to object or throw him out. As soon as she walked in she fell over a table and passed out. When she woke up, brain swimming in hangover juice, she noticed someone (or something lol) was playing pussy piano on her and she saw the horrifying image of a naked JewWario lying there with his fingers dipped in her well. She was intensely flabbergasted and blurted out that she expected someone they both knew to arrive any minute so he better GTFO. So he did, hastily leaving with overthrown clothes and out into the corridor lickedy-split.

2nd Part: While going down the hallways CJ ran into a flustered JewWario and suspected nothing at first. He asked him about an eventual crossover review or whatever and Justin spluttered "yesoundsgreatgottagosorrybye". CJ found it profoudly strange (duh) and dug deeper into the matter, eventually asking Holly the TGWTG PR woman about rumours that started to come to light about Justin. Holly didn't tell him directly but hinted that something was indeed very wrong in Kamen Rider Land and from there on he kept a suspicious eye on him until his eventual demise. When the groomer drama erupted, he disclosed this video, but for some reason it disappeared.

Edit: A chunk of the second part involved a Vulpix doll that played a role in Holly's reasoning. JW apparently gave such a doll to a fan he groomed and it served as a reminder for that particular case. Jackula kept that creepy memento in mind when referring to JW's antics since Holly told him about it.

Doug doesn't care about interesting content and wants to focus more on being a real life cartoon character in his videos.

  • Doug is desperate to flex that he rents a studio space that he doesn't need. The main shot is framed so he's taking up the middle 3rd of the screen and the other 2/3rds is studio background.   • Doug brought on a special guest, Michael Salvatori, who composed the Flintstones kids vitamin jingle. Doug could have actually done an interview and given us good interesting content on this dude's time in the industry but no, he kicks him down a hole spends the whole episode trying to ditch him.
  • There were so many shitty skits and Doug animations. I can't speak to those because I quickly skipped them but man it seemed excessive.
  • During the vintage Star Wars lightsaber ad Doug mentions the sabers looking like condoms, but then goes one step father and specifically says "you could go in your dads drawer and make one for yourself" or something to that effect. Meaning Doug is not addressing people his age or even adults. He is addressing his viewers as if they are children still living at home who would not have their own condoms. So Doug is either consciously aware he expects his audience to be made entirely of children, or he is so emotionally stunted himself he thinks of condoms in the context of something only dads have and not adults....like him. Doug is married. Doug does not have children. Doug still thinks of condoms as something he stumbled on once in his dads nightstand. Let that sink in.

Salvatori worked on the soundtracks for the Halo franchise, some of the most iconic and highly respected soundtracks in media history.

It's not by any means and I'll give him credit that the film has managed to be have an infinite number of ways to interpret it.

...But in typical Doug fashion, he also completely misses the underlying point of the movie and instead pulls a message out of his ass. The main, definitive point of the movie was to 1.) Have compassion for broken, mentally ill people, 2.) Understand the hypocrisy and craziness of society/the media/etc., and 3.) Show Arthur's fall from grace in how Gotham itself created a monster.

Doug does this all the time. Even if he's right on one of the many interpretations of a film, he always picks the most random ones to follow. For example, he thought that Grave of the Fireflies was about one's pride overtaking reason to the point of harming loved ones when the movie is VERY on the nose about how destructive war is on innocence and the lives of civilians living in WW2 Japan.

He does this shit all the time and it annoys me.

Presumably he believes that the least obvious interpretation is always the most profound, an idea accepted by all pretend smart people.
