Feel free to call me a jaded sociopath if you see it fit, but if motherfuckers start to literally spill blood (be it others' or their own) over shipping in cartoons of all fucking things, I'm at this point just willing to consider this as natural selection.

Though this latest escapade is a solid argument for giving the most autistic parts of the FNDM its own thread.

I dunno.

If they were adults that should know better maybe, but children always think and do stupid things so driving an impressionable kid to suicide is less natural selection and more people being pieces of shit.

Although shippers have always been insane, the thing about shipping that bothers me is that I at least used to respect how creators always ignored the fandom and did their own pairs to fulfill their own vision. Cool if the shippers and creators agreed, but that wasn't the goal. If all shippers got their way literally all couples would be lesbians.

But Rooster Teeth, on the other hand, has so little creative vision that they are doing what the shippers want, which is something any self-respecting creator in their place would avoid.

I must have skipped the part of her being a kid. In that case, that makes a bit more sense while it makes me look a bit like an idiot, at least in this particular case. In regards to people old enough to know better though, I stand by my statement.

What is the biggest thing that keeps RWBY alive besides shipping? That's the state of the show now. Live with the ship, sink with the ship. Literally. Because what else are Miles and Kerry going to do that is within their proven mental capacity?

On a semi-related note: I was planning on updating the OP a bit somewhere in the near future and I'll mention this latest suicide when briefly describing the fandom/shipping. As I said many pages ago: If there is anything else you think should be in the OP, let me know.

I already knew long about the Zamii Incident, so it’s amazing that the FNDM of RWBY did what SU did but actually SUCCEEDED at it makes them worse than the SU fandom.

I'll pick out the key parts for easier reading than reading on tumblr.

The tumblr user theblackcatandtheqrow (TBC), in their suicide post, they had an image below saying the account was running by two people TJ and Cleo.

However, from a reblog by another user bodyinthegarden, showing what the post actually looks like in the image below. The actual TBC post is from "Okay, Hi Guys" to "So Stay Tuned", while Bodyinthegarden post starts at " Ahh!!" to the end.

So it seems like the introductory image in the suicide post were edited by TBC themselves and only ran by one person name Natti. Also, when searching in TBC blog, TBC always refered as "I" and never mentioned the blog was ran by more than one person. "Unfortunately", TBC blog doesn't exist anymore.

Edit: More stuffs, I'm just gonna refer TBC as Natti here.

From this blog post, Natti had a twitter account (SparrowsAlbion, 18 year old female with a ton of trauma, account is already deleted) as Cleo and she sometimes tweeted Far Cry 5 about Jacob Seed (one of the villain in FC5) and her

Another tumblr blog, Jacobseedsmusicbox (also gone too), from Natti mentioned her online RDR2 character, the name is TJ. It implies TJ and Cleo are just another names for Natti.

Like, the kids say they were trying to be like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and said "the small boys persuaded Silje to take off her outer clothes during a game,"

That never happened in either TMNT or Power Rangers.

What's worse, these were 5 year old kids - Why wouldn't the parents be watching 5 year olds?! The girl also didn't die because of violence, she died from freezing! Why is violence even coming up in this conversation?! GOD DAMN IT!.

No, and that’s the thing. Only things were that the poster was asked to post about it by the deceased’s mother and she and Hero Hei are trying to get in touch through DMs. As for the BS caller, the evidence may not be much better. There was another BS caller, but that was just some troll who grabbed the blog after it was deleted.

Whether the whole story is true or not, I think that it can be safely stated that the FNDM is, while not the worst, at least the most autistic fandom of the Western hemisphere. And as I said, the FNDM's autism has produced things that are really good, really bad and really ugly.

Dishwasher is absolute patrician tier and a true citizen of Rome. I fell in love especially with his RWBY Grimmverse AU art. That shit is absolutely dope (and reminds me a bit of Tokyo Ghoul and Code Vein). IIRC he's also the concept artist of GenLOCK.

I also found myself unironically enjoying the AU webcomic Henceforward. I liked the art and the story hit me in the feels, something canon never managed to do.

In regards of the ugly I would add the Islamic fanaticism tier zealotry in regards to shipping. I can only imagine the intifada Bumblebee shippers would start if Black Sun becomes canon.
