It's hard to keep up with this bs and it changes a lot, but the current party line seems to be that gender dysphoria is a medical condition that arises from your body "knowing" it's the opposite sex but finding the wrong parts, causing something like phantom limb syndrome in amputees. Saying that you absolutely need to feel gender dysphoria to be trans makes you a mean truscum, but the average troon will still typically give some version of the biological mismatch narrative if you ask why they're transitioning. The big no-no is saying that it's purely a mental illness or a delusional thought.
There are definitely MtFs who complain about lack of male attraction, like the creator of Assigned Male, but the crucial difference is that straight men are less easy to bully/coerce into a relationship than lesbian women.
