Has Abby ever talked about a specific diagnosis? I know she isn't the most reliable narrator, but it'd be very interesting to know what exactly it is that she has. Poor girl needs to stick to her meds and doing some kind of intense DBT therapy.
 
I kinda wonder how much of the shit she does and says is specifically to pander to the people watching her antics. Not in the sense that she's a performance artist like Jace, but that she at least plays shit up for an audience. Hell the fact that she's using the name Boss Hog shows she pays attention the the shit her followers say and is willing to throw them a bone.

I always find women like her saying shit “I want him to treat me like a princess” incredibly sad. Women who say this are almost always in abusive relationships. It’s also incredibly childish and shows she isn’t capable of adult relationships.

What exactly does Abby bring to the table, esp now with her “no sec till marriage” pledge? Lots of pointless drama and shopping? She needs a caretaker not a boyfriend. Until she aims to try to be a functional adult with some level of independence she should stay far away from “boyfriends” because she will only get abusive POS.

I feel like we don't talk about Boss Hog enough.

This girl is clearly mentally unwell, keeps changing her mind and rotating through phases every few days, has the mental maturity of a 12yo girl, and yet this guy is always around, ready to preach god and whatever shit to her and, apparently, to fuck her.

I'm not white knighting Abby: she's an awful, abusive woman who knows she's sick but doesn't get the necessary treatments and who acts as a parasite to her parents, but at the same time it makes me wonder why a (supposedly) well adjusted 26yo man would hang around this kind of person.

A well adjusted, non ill woman around a similar age, would likely laugh Boss Hog out of his Spencer's Gifts eyeliner.

Abby's easy to boss around, fill her head with nonsense, and fuck. She always comes back as well, so it's not like he had any incentive to change

Huge stretch to call Boss Hog well adjusted. Dude seems to be a fat, very confused, punk rock Christian with a drug problem. Does he even have a shitty job? Any guy who spends years orbiting Abby (and fucking with her head) is the opposite of well adjusted.

He's just as cringe as she is, if not more. He just seems to be a total loser meandering through life and he doesnt even have the excuse of having a mental illness that abby does.
 
Boss Hog is a complete loser. He's a junkie who lives with his mom, is somehow obese while doing heroin, doesn't have a job, and recently got stoned and destroyed the only asset he had, a car. He stays with Abby because literally no one else wants him. I think he loves the fact that women flirt with him online, even though he has to know they're only doing it to try and upset Abby. He likes the attention he gets. When he isn't with Abby, the amount of feedback he gets on his FB plunges massively.

I know I'm a bit late to this post, but Abby has talked about how her dad was a news anchor. Even now, he seems to be in the public eye.

Perhaps the parents simply dote on her to shut her up, since they know she will lose it and cause social destruction if she doesn't get her way
 

She says people tell her her videos are helpful. Her advice is 'in the form of a poem'. It's the usual diabolically shit version of Dr Seuss that people mistake for poetry but it's actually good advice.

It could be her anti psychotics if she’s taking them. They can make your muscles really tense and then things like talking can become sort of difficult/awkward and almost sort of painful sometimes. There’s an unfortunately large number of reasons a lot of people don’t comply with their meds despite needing them. That’s definitely one of them.

Her video where she’s talking about being diagnosed as schizoaffective she sort of reminds me of that.

Yeah, look at Bodhi in the Susan Schofield thread. He’s a pretty extreme example of how antipsychotics can fuck up your speech and movement.

Part of me finds it weird that the antipsychotics don’t calm down her Jesus stuff to a normal person level, but maybe I just don’t get religion.

She doesn’t have premarital sex? I thought that was why the Hog stuck around.
Unless they believe “you’re still a virgin if you do it in the butt”... which doesn’t sound too out of line with Abby’s weird thought processes.
