I don't find Assasins to be damage dealers, usually they're for softening enemies and generating stars for the team, otherwise overall, the class is complete shit. That is why for 4 years, Jack is still the top Assasin, she can generate stars like crazy for the team, and if you made a team of quick servants accompanying Jack, she can make a quick-crit-loop like crazy.

That's a relief, I saw a lot of people bragging about how Skadi made Merlin useless. But I'm glad to hard that's not the case. I like Merlin a lot, but was fearing they would power creep him. Like this video:

But I concur in that she isn't even in my top ten most wanted.
Assasins too. I got Carmilla and Emiya, and welfare Scatcach, but I find their performance a bit lacking, I think. The gap between their 5 star counterparts is bigger than other class imho.
The only good 4 star Assassins for damage are Shiki and Wu Zetian. Kerry has plenty of use with his abilities but it takes a lot of going out of your way to make him function as a damage dealer instead of just a shitty stall/crit engine. 5 star Assassins though are all generally pretty good, with Jack, Li Shuwen and King Hassan doing excellent at blowing shit up.

As for Astolfo, the character has been created 2012, so he's around for 7 years, in a way, there's something in his character that makes him stand out from other traps since those characters are probably forgotten by now. so, he's not a flavor of the month character.
As for the game, this game earns so much money for Sony, it basically saves them from bankruptcy. In NA region alone it earns an estimate of 50 million USD a year. In Japan, it earns around 2 billion USD per year. it dwarfs other similar games so much, the only one who beats it is Monster strike which earns 7 billion USD. And this is basically a middle budget mobile rpg.

I just got her too, is she good for a first 5star?
Well, Cleo is great at best, certainly not the worst of the assasins, you can do much, much worse, like King Hassan, and Mysterious Heroine X. She's a AOE NP Buster, so she can easily fit in some of buster buffing team, and her own buster buff activates first before NP she can do serious damage. She has her own NP generation skills and survival skills like the invincible for a turn.
But, all her ascension and skill up materials can be a bitch to get.

Yes I do. King Hassan has garbage star and np generation, his hits like a wet noodle because of assasin class demerit. his saving grace is his NP is buster, but, useless on most bosses since they have instant kill shield.
MHX is even of a shit servant that only shines when there's a saberface.
With Jack, slap her with some Crit Star drop rate or quick card effectiveness up, she can generate over 50 stars in a brave quick chain. if accompanied with other quick servants, you can make a quick-crit-loop almost every turn, and since crit hits generate a good amount of NP gauge, Jack and the team can easily earn NP, and can spam their NP almost once every 2 or 3 turns without the help of NP battery support.

Skadi era MHX has higher burst than Jack due to MHX being a pure stat stick, double Merlin Hassan is a monster, not dissing Jack but calling either of those trash is stupid as fuck, when Skadi drops MHX will jump from being almost useless to a top tier assassin
edit- gotta make a correction, King Hassin does drop down when Kama appears, tho he is still top pick for anyone running a buster comp

If anything, its more stupid to double Merlin buster buff Hassan, because, when put both against a class with no class advantage like saber, double Merlin buster buff Brave Elly will outdamage King Hassan.
And anything MHX can do, Scathach can do better. MHX is only good for those challenge quest like that new york with MHXA. Jack always support the team. she might not be the biggest damage dealer, but her star generation is always the best, and she's a good solid team member that fits in any team, short of gimmicky challenge quest team comps

no idea why you even brought up that graph, using MHX or any assassin against sabers is just stupid unless it's a mixed node, I'm saying she's a great servant and none of the 5 star assassins are trash, and you've left out her utility of the 20% aoe defense down debuff which makes her a great pick as a star generator and secondary damage dealer, I'll give you the Hassan shit tho, wasn't thinking much

Every servant has a use. May not be a big use, a wide number of uses, or even a "good" use. If even Benkei be used effectively(IE, having him debuff an enemy for one turn then die) .then no servant is without worth... doesn't mean Benkei isn't shit though
