I tried to archive the page but kept getting a network error, so screenshots will have to do. Looks like season one production ended in July and that principal photography is finished, so we can’t be that far away from an official announce, ent, right?

Holy shit, they're not going to just be fatties of the season for some other show, but get their own actual show? I feel like Christmas came early, only it's a TV show starring our favorite hogs.

I wonder if Big Al and LifeByJen and all the other YouTube land whales will be upset that they didn't get chosen to be publicly shamed like the Slatons did.

That means the "meat n greet" was the finale for the season, not the beginning.
I think their "meat n greet" was in May.

Production of their show ending in July seems odd considering what Tammy has said about they were supposed to be getting surgery in August but it was pushed back. It seems odd that they would wrap up the show before the surgery at all. Of course I have never watched any of the Family By The Ton shows, so I don't know if that's the way those type of shows operate. With it being a show of their own I wonder if their potential surgery is even part of the show, or something they're doing on their own, perhaps with help of money from doing the show. Either that or maybe they intend the show to be multiple seasons. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before Tammy spills the beans.

I wonder if surgery is being done not as a core part of the show, but rather to literally keep the potential cash cows from dying in the very near future. Neither will lose the weight naturally. At Tammy’s size, she’s basically critical and needs to lose some weight ASAP to avoid dying in her sleep any night now. Plus getting the two of them down to being a couple of 300lbers rather than 400 and 600lbers will make them a lot more mobile for going out and getting into shenanigans that make for good trash TV. I mean, how long could TLC realistically m.ilk Tammy for entertainment when she’s essentially bed bound?

I’m placing my bet on TLC getting the first season done quickly, then shuttling them off into weight loss surgery so season two can toss that in for the storyline while hopefully keeping them both alive for a few seasons.

May was probably when shooting started. Was July when they moved into their new digs and started having Walmart hurls? Maybe the check came when it was finished.

Jen would be pretty boring. But she always looks like she's been crying so I wonder what goes on off camera during and after the binge. She's down to 518 now. But it will go back up again shortly. The Youtube weightloss community is one of the worst things to happen to weightloss.

But the other deathfats are better off. The Slatons are too dumb to realise that they were exploited for lulz.

I have no idea how this child died. It doesn't appear to be anything criminal, as there's nothing I can find beyond the obituary.

On another note, I haven't been into the Slaton Sister universe that long, so is it common for Amy to delete videos? I was going to read the comments on her latest video where they asked for advice on doctors and meals, but it's gone.

Yup. It's gone. I wonder why. Maybe it was done for the show so they could add clips to make it looks like the Statons reached out on Youtube for help before TLC became involved. At least this way TLC wouldn't be lying if they said the video had been uploaded. Oh well, we'll know the real deal after the show premieres. Unlike those new to Slatonism we are wise.

Amy has deleted plenty of videos in the past if they make her look bad. She deleted those videos from back when she lived with her brother and was devouring all his snacks. You'd sometimes see him in the background using his gut as a table.

I'm not sure how archiving Youtube works. I have never tried.

So it's done already. And as we can see from recent videos the Slatons dun failed hard. If there's a second season they will fail again. Maybe the deleted video asking for weightloss tips is supposed to be part of the season finale. Either that or the premiere.

I can't wait to compare the show to what we already know about Amy and Tammy. It will give us a great insight on what kind of yarns these shows spin to make the truth more interesting.

Once the announcement is released by TLC I wonder if the Slatons will give us a lulzy video about how they are gonna be on teevee like it's some huge surprise no one saw coming ten miles away.

Do you think any of our posts will be quoted to show how much the Slatons are bullied for their size? Anyone who comes here and reads the thread will see all the skeletons in their closet. The scamming, the lying, the animal abuse. If the show is popular enough entertainment journalists will go digging for dirt.

They're not going to go to niche websites to get 'hate' content if they're going to show it when they can just use youtubey comments and social media. Of course they're going to mention the hate though because part of the TLC schlock machine is the 'overcoming adversity' bit where you rise above the meanies and doubters. It's in plenty of episodes of My 600 Pound Life.

Amy goes to a Japanese steakhouse. You gotta give her props for not having any fried rice. The whole video save for a brief intro and outro is just the chef making the food. If you've ever been to one of these places you know the deal.

Amy's excuse for filming people (likely without asking) is "they was filming to".

It's a boring video so I don't suggest watching as it's 20 minutes long. At least we can actually see the chef and it isn't Amy's face the whole time. If Tammy had been there filming we'd likely see her Jurassic arm blocking half the screen.

Amy says she is still taking a break due to her grand nephew's death. I am impressed that the Slaton Sister have chosen to back off of Youtube for a bit. It does not seem to be a ploy for gifts and attention as far as I can see. But I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting a lil' something just the same. ;)

But the best part of the video is this comment. What a gem this is:

Ok, how much did they pay you Chrissy? Was it in Five Below or Hot Topic hurls? Are you a Slaton?

Amy looks as big to me now as she has ever been. I've never seen her in the wild of course. But I am just astounded that someone would say that Amy Slaton isn't that big. What is Chrissy's idea of big then? Because that user pic screams fat girl angle all the way and maybe she is just projecting a bit much here.

I'm not saying she isn't huge, but I think she isn't actually as big as she looks online. She carries like, all of her weight in her face and torso, which is all the camera sees. My understanding is she isn't even 500 pounds? Which would make her relatively slim compared to say, most of the people on My 600 Pound Life. She's clearly massively overweight, but she isn't as bad as Tammy is.

Assuming they really did get a TV gig, Amy probably isn't too hard up on getting the YouTubie money for now because she has another check coming in aside from the government tugboat.

Amy is massive. I'm not even sure how you came up with that statement. If anything, she probably looks even bigger in person.

Jesus, I always knew total bottom feeders made these scripted freak shows for cable but that profile really proves it. Think the guy has a complex about making horrible garbage TV? He tries to include Emmy trophies in his banner and profile shot. It reeks of desperation to be taken seriously and mountains of shame and self-loathing for helping produce Yup to the Pup, Slaton Sisters and Pimple Popper.

Poor kid looks jaundiced in the photo (although there's a not-uncommon syndrome in neonates). And sleeping practically face down on soft furnishings. Was this a 'cot death' aka SIDS ...?

If you look at the photo credit it actually says the funeral home provided the photo. I think it’s a photo of the corpse and they added color to hide the fact, but didn’t do a very good job. Look behind the ear, the hair and skin are a totally different color. (It also means the family didn’t have a decent living photo they could provide, which is troubling. People usually take tons of photos from birth to three months)

Dumb rednecks end up killing newborns pretty easily. There’s a reason the started printing new born clothes with “back is best.” SIDS is usually just a result of leaving a newborn on its stomach or in a position that it can suffocate. It’s a tragedy but usually a preventable one.

These are unmarried relations of the Slaton’s we are talking about after all. It’s amazing any of them survive the neglect and stupidity of their parents for the first year of life. CPS is pretty hardcore about removing newborns quickly from possibly neglectful parents only because they are so fragile and can die so easily.

A nurse I know that work in L&D in a southern state says they feel like they are handing about 15% of newborns to their doom when they are released to dumb, too young/inexperienced, drug addicted, etc... mothers.

Is that problem really specific to the south though

Oh no, it’s not, but just mentioned it since it’s in the same basic region as the Slatons. Though the opiate epidemic in the south has really exacerbated the problem in recent years. Like some counties have 70 to 80% of kids under 12 being raised by grandparents bad.
