Oh yeah!
And apparently, Rosemary's dad is gay as you see him and Rosemary living together with him pink haired man.
I get the other token LGBTQ+ stuff shoved in, at least there are wedding photos as proof etc, but two guys living together just have to be gay? Not relations, or even supporting a friend who maybe doesn't have a place to live at the moment. Especially when mentioned earlier that she had a mother, who died or something I guess?

I think the pink haired guy is actually Rosemary's older brother. I remember seeing the designs for the cast and there was a late teens-early twenties looking guy with pink hair who was pointed out as her big brother, so it's probably him.

That's pretty shitty writing on the show's part, though, if they couldn't be assed to establish that this isn't a random guy living with them, but in fact is the main character's own flesh and blood.

EDIT:

Yeah, just found the art, straight from the creator's tumblr. The kid on the far right is her older brother, Chicory.

Other fun facts I uncovered while trudging through their tumblr:
  • Thyme, the black elf, used to be very fair skinned, blonde, and had green eyes.
  • Sage, the witch girl, used to also be white and had dark blue hair. Her outfit was also different, with it being a crop top and shorts with a giant robe over top.
  • Rosemary was an incredibly blatant rip off of Madoka. She had practically the same outfit and hair and everything.
Despite being an apparent passion project, there isn't a whole lot of art of it on their tumblr. There's maybe about twenty posts, if that, and there's only one peice that was posted after the show was announced. It's weird.

I copied the spoiler tweets, just in case someone wants to read them in a non-rétarded manner:
Not dead to me, I just saw the 1st scene and so far, it looks pretty good.
Imagine Little Witch Academia if it had like a Steven Universe art style.

I'll start by saying that before I started the survey, the starting page had an image like this except i saw a castle wall background with "High Guardian Spice" in red bold text over the shield.
Also, when I accepted the terms, I saw both Crunchyroll X VRV.

Anywho, the show begins with Rosemary (pink haired girl) and Sage (blue haired girl) stepping on a hill, about to take a wagon ride to High Guardian Academy.
After a joke where Rosemary tumbles down a hill, the 2 see their parents, and RM's dad mentions how...

her mother would be proud of her as he he shows Rosemary a charm pendant she's wearing.
We then learn that Sage wants to be a healer and her mother tells the 2 to "Don't forget Chompy" as they head off.
Chompy, a gray toad with tiny horns hops in and bites Sage's bag
Intro starts

The Opening to "High Guardian Spice" is actually pretty nice as it definitely feels like an anime OP.
The song's an English song and the scenes they show gives me some vibes.
New She-Ra: Girls BF group
Little Witch Academia: School and the students

Oh yeah!
And apparently, Rosemary's dad is gay as you see him and Rosemary living together with him pink haired man.

After the intro.
The 2 girls are still off and they noticed their hometown called, "Pebble" is smaller than they thought.
Then, after they scaled a mountain or canyon, I think it was Rosemary who decides who decides to cut the line to board a train...

With the help of a living chest that carries their items, they take out a broomstick and fly on board the train.
They then take a rest until they arrive to a city called "Linguard" where they are greeted by "Sages?" cousin and niece; who I think they're LGBTQs.

The girls go to the LGBTQ's house and with some magic, the 2 women hold hands and create a bedroom for their guests to sleep in.
It then cuts to a dream scene or a flashback of young RM seeing her mother who was a strong guardian fight darkness, but disappears.

Rose wakes up with tears in her eyes and when Sage wakes up and sees Rose, she offers to sleep with her and tells her that her mother's still out there alive.
Morning comes and upon Sage's niece trying to give the girls tea, I saw a wedding photo of the 2 women in the background.

The girl's then go to the Kitchen where they see that the white haired LGBTQ woman in charge of the Kitchen.
The girls eat breakfast and decide tto check out Linguard. So, they go to the marketplace and Rose almost hits a black brunette with her sword upon being excited.

BTW, Rosemary's sword is really her mom's and the black brunette eventually joins Rose and Sage's BF group. The opening spoils that.

Anyways, Rosemary then notices her locket's missing; which contains a picture of a cheese cake and they go after a tiny rodent creature called a Trixie who has it. They chase it to a tree where Rose want to kill it, but Sage tells her to wait and see what it does first.

They watch the Trixie do a little dance on a tree stump and Sage tells Rose that it's doing a ritual with the locket. It calls out its mates and evolves into a griffin looking creature. It then flies around the tree until 1 of its mates hears it.

They dive down from the tree and it causes the causes the younger mate to turn into a pink version of its lover. They then grab Rose's locket and break it in half in front of her. She gets the 2 halves back and it's revealed that the cheese cake picture is just a family photo.

Sage then takes Rosemary to a blacksmith to try and repair the locket. The blacksmith they see is a short blonde girl named Parsely who's also going to the academy to be a better blacksmith.
She also has 12 brothers and is in charge of all of them.

So, after the girls talk a bit and we get a joke of Parsley slamming her hammer to silence her brothers and sending 4 of them to do a chore, she offers to fix Rose's locket and give it back to her when school starts.
Then, it cuts to Rose and Sage back in Sages' cousins' house.

They tell Sages' cousins how their day went and the 2 girls go to bed together.
And the final scene of the ep. is Rose and Sage heading to the school and Sage replies to something Rose says with, "When I can use spells with 1 hand, I'll make you whole again."
Ep. Ends

There's also an anime like opening that shows the "Best friends squad" and gave me some new She-Ra vibes with the ending song and scenes, but it also felt more like Little Witch Academia.
However, I don't think it'll be as bad or cheesy as new She-Ra.

Correction to my 1st tweet on this, @RealClownfishTV:
Apparently, there's another ep. of High Guardian Spice the survey showed me. So, 2 episodes.
It's a Halloween ep; which has an antagonist who I like to call "Not Catra" and a big, muscular, talking cat.

If that's real, then I don't think anything more will be done, as this doesn't look like it will pass the test screenings.

What the fuck is even the plot, "uwu gay"?

EDIT:

Not just shitty writing, it's most likely the fact the person automatically assumes the dad's gay because he has pink hair and is wearing a pink apron. Jesus Christ, that hurts my brain.

In a twist that surprised literally fucking everyone, this thing isn't actually dead in the water. A pilot apparently exists and it's being test screened.
Literally no one when two brain cells would be surprised by this.
People working on the show have been tweeting about progress since its announcement (finishing storyboards, theme song, finishing the score, etc.)
Only retards who get all their info from youtube clickbait like the shit you posted would think the show was actually canned mid development

tbf I figured it was canned mid development and the twitter people were just lying

It's quite behind schedule, why wouldn't people think that something's up?

So, this is EXACTLY what Crunchyroll subscribers wanted their money to go towards, right?
Not towards something like helping anime studios receive funding (similar to Cartoon Network helping fund the second season of Big O), but towards productions that clearly are not anime, right?
I'm glad that the Crunchyroll staff have their customers' interest in mind.

This Little Witch Academia X Steven Universe bastard lovechild can only be described as one thing:
Dumpster FURRR.jpg

I need a drink....

I can't wait to shitpost in the 5chan thread for this piece of shit once this airs in Japan… if they can even get it off the ground :story:

What a gigantic self-indulgent mess, don't think even the worst of light novels can't top how self-fellating this shit is. Incredible.

Looks like it's the same person's work, just four years and a heavy dose of Tumblr and CalArts bullshit later. Of course Raye Rodriguez now identifies as trans, describes themselves as a magical boy, and list their pronouns in their profile.

Newgrounds: RayeToons
Twitter: Raye Rodriguez
Tumblr, because of fucking course: Raye's Art Blog
Personal Site: Raye Rodriguez

If this comic featuring the same characters on their personal site is anything to go by, this show is going to be even worse than it looks.

Bonus shitty comics about how totally trans they are, in which our hero recounts a conversation that definitely happened, and reveals that they apparently think it's a better idea to consult psychics about their mental and physical health problems than, you know, anyone who might actually have had medical training:

I swear there's a factory somewhere that churns out people like this.
That psychic in the first one actually gave good advice. Also the "cool witch stuff" part of the second comic is pretty telling of the type of Pagan tumblrinas making it.

If I ever want to get back into anime, I need to watch Castlevania and that new joint Cannon Busters, someday

Highly recommend you check out the Castlevania anime, bud. I enjoyed it a lot and the action scenes were great, IMO. I'll admit it does feel like it moves kind of slow at times but I'm excited for season 3.

I want to also mention that Thundercats Roar is in a similar situation and may have just been claimed to be a real project so WB could hold onto the rights with no intention for producing a real show.

Mattel and Super 7 have the rights to the toys and none of the shit they're making involves the new show. However rumors are circulating that a Cal Arts holocaust is upon us.

You see after the success of shows like Castlevania and other anime on streaming services many companies are now opting to go that route instead of having american 2D animation. It's come out that Mattel has entered into an agreement with a Japanese animation studio to make a new He-Man series and and two more series for two other mattel/super 7 toy properties. WB was attached to one and it's not DC or any type of Justice league because the toy rights and media rights to those are different.

Japan will end Tumblr's reign and grip on american animation by blowing it up like Pearl Harbor.
So the 2020s are going to be filled with western companies trying to clone anime again like in the early 2000s?

So the 2020s are going to be filled with western companies trying to clone anime again like in the early 2000s?

Hell, I'd gladly welcome back the pseudo-anime cartoons of the early 2000's any day.

Even at their lowest, they were still more enjoyable than the CalArts/Tumblr bullshit we have nowadays.

As undeniably awful as CalArts is I can't think of any reject weeb cartoon that was any good other than Avatar. Lesser of the two evils anyway.

Well, you also had the OG Teen Titans on Cartoon Network. It's one of only three capeshit shows I actually like (the others being Batman: The Animated Series and the X-Men cartoon from the 90's)

Kappa Mikey was mildly entertaining, and Totally Spies would be a decent Charlie's Angels parody if it weren't for all that weird hidden fetish stuff that the writers put in.

Considering that Totally Spies debuted on Cartoon Network shortly after the live-action Charlie's Angels movie with Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore, I honestly used to think it was greenlit as either a parody or a cash-in on those movies.

I was actually a little disturbed when I found out it was the work of a bunch of perverted French guys who thought they were being clever.

Did anyone manage to archive the Clownfish video about the pilot? Looks like Ellation sent a takedown request.
