To add to that, enslaving Gaming was part of a grander scheme: the Thousand Year SJW Reich that the lunatic left felt was fast "becoming a reality" due to the now discredited meme that 2012 was the last chance the right had to get power and that by playing exclusively to minorities, women, gays, and bussing in illegals, the Democrats had a super majority that would let the left achieve the dream once dreamed by Karl Roves at the height of Bush II's power: an irrevocable super-majority that would result in the nation becoming a one party state.

Hillary's coronation was to be the official start of the Thousand Year Reich, as Obama was a black swan event that delayed Hillary's inevitability and ironically, the lunatic left's doom: Obama getting elected and re-elected (but especially the later re-election) and the one-two punch of gay marriage being legalized/health care reform being passed, cause the SJW death kult to accelerate their schemes triple time on the belief that society had become more progressive than they thought it was and that made them over reach and then some.

Adding to this was Scalia's "death"; there is a reason WHY a lot of people believe Obama most likely had him killed. The Supreme Court was still 5-4 conservative leaning even with Judge Roberts allegedly compromised after Citizens United (with Obama spying on him and holding over his head the fact that he basically bought a baby rather than go through the actual overseas adoption process which takes years to finalize). They HAD to permanently shift the Supreme Court to the left 5-4 so that it would give the Democrats the ultimate firewall to crush the right on the state/federal level since the Supreme Court can arbitrarily make law AND kill laws on the federal and state level, meaning even if the Democrats DID lose the White House and Congress, the Supreme Court would ensure that the SJW death kult would still be able to control things and squash all attempts to stop them.

It's also been speculated that Hillary and Obama had all sorts of bad shit planned; that Hillary would carry it out so that Obama would stay clean for legacy reasons and due to Hillary being a vindictive cunt that personally wanted to do harm to everyone on her enemies list. Such as the shit with Obama's "net neutrality" work being a guise to allow Hillary to censor and deplatform people on the right online, gun grabbing, and other lunatic left wet dream issues Hillary was going to carry out on top of Hillary's warmongering fetish.

Ironically, it would be another black swan even that ultimately screwed the SJW death kult over with Trump's election.
 
I thought the FF8 remaster was just going to be a lazy port, but they remade all the models?

I don't like buying Digital Only, has there been a physical edition announced? I looked at the Trophy/Achievement list and nothing seems insane either, like with the case of Final Fantasy 9 and it's retarded goals. Final Fantasy 12 didn't take much to 100% either and that was also a very good HD Re-Release.

i think people keep forgetting that designing low-fidelity character models requires emphasizing some things that would never would in higher-fidelity rendering. i don't see anyone bitching about the blockiness being gone, just the suspected boobs. rinoa is a thin 17 year old and would look retarded with massive boobs, i'd rather her have a nice consistent design, i don't even care if some wider changes are made as they take a 20 year old game and modernize it.

I mean I still appreciate them rereleasing the game allowing people to easily purchase it through legal channels (I have no problem and in fact make frequent use piracy/emulation I just prefer owning a legitimate copy).

That's fine, I'm okay with that sentiment. If you want to buy it to show appreciation and then play the emulated version go ahead. Seems to be what a fair number are doing since the emulation causes less headaches apparently, dunno if they got that Widescreen Fix program working for it or not. I use that one on old games like Knights of the Old Republic and such.

I just think people going the legit way are getting screwed over, but that's hardly unique to this. The performance seems to be abysmal, it doesn't seem to be much of an improvement over the original PC release and people are wondering why they need to pay again for something that really should be a free update in comparison. I will say, though, that a lot of people are likely spoiled over Crash and Spyro's remasters and were more or less hoping for the same. Especially since Square Enix is a big name and I can't seem to find who they hired to "remaster" this one or if it was in-house.

I'd say being spoiled on remasters is a good thing.

This isn't like EDF 5 where 2 people are upset because the game doesn't support ultra wide triple monitor resolutions with track IR and farming simulator controller support.

I think a remaster should at least be a version as close to the original as possible with support for modern hardware and resolutions. Kind of like the Night Dive remasters of Turok 1 and 2. If they fail to do that, what are you even paying for?
