Stupidity isn't why Tammy and Amy are unemployed, it's laziness. They get "free" money from the government to sit and eat all day, and that's good enough for them.
 
If you had a job to hire for, what would you hire Tammy to do? She is totally unemployable in more ways than one.

In their defense... they never really had a chance. They come from a clan of hillbillies who have probably, for generations, considered getting gimmes from the government a career. They probably were getting a check before they were in middle school, because that's why people like Mama Slaton have kids, so they were told they were set for life. No one ever pushed Tammy and Amy to educate themselves, to have any ambition, to do anything with their lives. They were pretty much bred, born and raised to do what they're doing now. The fact they even bothered to make a little "career" with YouTube is kind of amazing.

I usually emphasize this myself, especially when people think Tammy had no choice about it but Amy and the rest of the Slaton's did, but sometimes it gets a bit tiring to do so.

YouTube isn't so surprising though. They figured out that doing the same shit they normally do but with a carma rolling on them gets them views, attention, and maybe money. They spend more effort on getting food than they do on YouTube (or anything else), but even Helen Keller could figure that out.

A lot of times, when a factory is located in a small town (where the talent pool* tends to be pretty thin), once they get to crunch time/peak seasonal time, an employer tends to drop their standards pretty quickly. While they may start off by only wanting to hire smarter/more physically able/more reliable candidates, at the end of the day, they still need to have X headcount to meet their required Y output/throughput and, once they've exhausted all of the good candidates, they need to move on to the not-so-good and then the mediocre candidates. After that, if they still need people, they end up being forced to take whatever doofus manages to show up at their door.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Tam-Tam's "fatory" experience was short-term, temporary, and seasonal.

(* Nope. Not gonna do it. I'm not gonna make a joke about gene pools and talent pools here...)

If she can pull it off then good for Tammy. Maybe having something to do all day other than eat will have a good effect on her. I know I'm being optimistic here. The money should go towards things like a mic, lighting and a real camera. But we all know it's going to be wall to wall Five Below, Walmart, Wish and Amazon hurls consisting of junk on level with children's party favors.

Also, if anyone remembers the do it yourself squishy TamHam colored in, well I saw it at Five Below and she did it wrong. I have no doubt it's less than perfect and won't stand the test of time. But Tammy kept complaining that it was sticky. You are supposed to let it dry for 24 hours before you play with it. Tambo couldn't wait three seconds to dig her high calorie claws into it.

I hope that Amy doesn't try to control any money she makes. Amy is horrific at crafts of any kind. Tammy seems to do well with rugs and will be proud if she can one up Amy at something.

Hey y'all! It's Hot Topic hurl time! One of my favorite pastimes! Seeing what fat, exceptional hillbillies spent their teevee money on.


Note at :53 how dirty Amy's nails are. Also, she looks like a painted pig. You can clearly see the total lack of weight loss. In fact, she looks even bigger now.

The video quality is the best I have ever seen from a Slaton. The sound however, is still classic. Has Amy invested in some lighting and a real carma? 🤔

Amy says that going to Hot Topic for Halloween palettes is a tradition. It's not even exactly the middle of September yet. But everyone starts their Halloween vlogging early. I find it annoying since it is still summer. But whatevs. I'm oldschool.

The first item is a Nightmare Before Christmas makeup palette. Because if Amy needs anything it's more makeup palettes. :roll:

This one set her back a cool $16.90. Not that wasting her tugboat on this crap was surprising before. But coupled with the better video quality it sure is interesting. Not a penny will be saved either. I guarantee.

Next up it's the aptly named Loser palette. Again, $16.90. It's It themed. I'd like to see her read the book. It's over 1000 pages with no pictures. :lol:

Check around 2:25 and you will see what looks like an actual carma on a red tripod reflected in the mirror of the palette.

Amy says that she doesn't really use the palettes. They are just for aesthetic "pursposes". Considering the fact that makeup eventually gets moldy and rots I cannot imagine the pile of mildew-ridden cardboard horrors Amy has tossed in some drawer or closet. Oh well, I'm sure it's lost in the rest of the Slaton miasma.

It's not exactly news that Amy buys tons of themed palettes she never uses or just uses for one video. But now it's on a dime other than the taxpayers. But she only got two palettes. What restraint! But never fear because she is trying to find the Freddy Krueger one.

In the comments someone compliments her new mic. Funny, because she's just muffled at a slightly higher volume. Some people also compliment her weightloss. If she's lost weight then I must be hallucinating. Because she looks even bigger to me.
 
Not too many grease stains from the back of her head on the wall yet.

According to TamHam she and It's Alicia are best friends. Well I guess it's good for Tammy to have someone to talk to. Until the inevitable collapse of the relationship. Tammy will have a meltdown over something stupid and that will be that. Oh well, At least Alicia can't smell Tammy through the internet.

Tammy is eating some Korean style chicken. The camerawork is terrible, as always. It's zoomed in way too much and sorta lopsided. So you get a lot of tammy and not much else. She should take cues from Amy and try her set up. Maybe she can borrow Amy's new carma if she promises not to eat it.

Alicia has sent Tammy a Golden Girls themed gift. That's going to be the next video. It's already uploaded. I am behind. But at least my behind isn't Tammy's. :lol:

She also sent Tammy a sunflower backdrop. But Tammy's filming room isn't set up yet. I think Michael was supposed to help her with that. Tammy can't move furniiture around herself. She can't even move herself around.

Tammy finally started watching The App. Or The Act. I can't parse her Slatonese. And she's finally got wifi. Could this mean better TamTam vids in the future? I'm not sure if I am ready for that chin and lipoma in better quality.

Tammy says that everything is ok but sometimes she gets frustrated with Amy and Michael.

Hammy addresses the fact that she can eat because she does have teeth. She is only missing two. Tammy tells us that Maw has no teeth but she goes to town on some fried chicken.

Paw meanwhile, has been in the hospital for the past two days. He smokes too much and has COPD. His lungs were starting to colapse.

Tammy needs to go back to the Slaton Doublewide to get some stuff, including a portrait drawn by a fan named Country Pumpkin.

Tammy doesn't go into the back room. There's a deep step and she's having trouble with steps. Gee, I wonder why?

She's afraid she will fall and hurt herself. She doesn't take her phone with her when she's going to the bathroom. Well Tammy, maybe you should. Amy and Michael don't come over until late in the afternoon. So Tammy is alone most of the time. That's actually rather sad.

Tammy has been up since 7:30 AM and it's 9:03 AM. Already she has 162 steps. Yesterday she has 1,200. She said when she lived with Maw &Paw she had completely given up and they wouldn't help her get an apartment. But being in the hospital back in April was a wakeup call.

The situation is better now even though she fights with Amy. When they were kids they beat each other with baseball bats. I think they were already born too stupid to get any real brain damage from that.
