I sometimes wonder why there aren't more of these 'if you hate furries you're everything from a bigot to a social degenerate' posts. Oh, yes, it's because these posts are always silly and hypocritical, especially when furries say repeatedly 'don't generalise the entire fandom just because it turns a blind eye to pedophilla and zoophilia' while generalising everybody who hates furries as scum of the highest order.

This is extremely sad to hear and it's disgusting that people are still believing he was a rapist when there's no proof and no guilty verdict. Zoe Quinn is a awful human being who allowed people to harass this man for stupid allegations. I have no clue if Alec ended his life because of this or because of mental illness. We will never know but what do know is that this more than likely played a part. She wrote it to be deliberately confusing and cast shade on him for that and if you read the grave dancers, they quite clearly took it as him being an actual rapist and are glad that a rapist is dead.
She herself didn't bother correcting the "accidental" smear. She is the moral equivalent of a murderer even if she is essentially immune from prosecution.
I believe the NitW guy would have been Toronto, when Chelsea was illegally in Canada, which I think was around 2011, before Gamergate. So she had to reach far back into her past for her latest grab at attention and Patreon money. Unless she actually knew he was on the edge at the moment and deliberately kicked the stool out from under him, she probably just expected the usual rush of attention.
But she picked the wrong victim at the wrong time, and destroying his life finished him off. Eggshell skull, in the extremely unlikely event she would ever be taken legally to task for her vile act.

Which is interesting, because Night in the Woods is a game about human characters who happen to be depicted as storybook illustrations of animals as a stylistic choice. That's my understanding of it, at least -- the fact that the characters are cats and foxes and shit is never once brought up during the game. The characters could have been depicted as humans or clowns or attack helicopters and nothing about the story would be any different.
It's not a game about anthropomorphic animals; it's a game about fucked, hopeless people in a fucked, hopeless town.

To be fair the same thing could be said about a lot of media featuring anthropomorphic animals, especially as a lot will use animals as a metaphor or as an artistic choice. Furries latching onto it just means the creators will get more money and fanart.
