I'm crossing every part of my body in hopes they make Luvdisk evolve into Alomomola, just fucking do what should've been done long ago Gamefreak.

Yeah, that was fucking weird. I get why at the time since Black and White locked out all old Pokémon until post-E4, but it’s obvious what it should have been.

There's not a doubt in my mind if Alomomola was a Sinnoh mon it would've been Luvdisc's evo. They REALLY wanted Unova to have an entirely new, separate dex, which also explains the plethora of Kanto proxies.

Speaking about Kanto, I'm starting to get tired of its remakes-I mean it is the first Pokemon region that we got but it's starting to get boring. How about we get the other region remakes that other fans want? Cuz I'm starting to root for those fanmade remake titles like Spacial Pearl, Temporal Diamond, Pokemon Z, Mind Crystal, etc.

I really want a johto remake but that would require yet another kanto. Honestly DPP and BWBW2 would be great for remakes now considering DPP was release in 2006 and bw2 in 2012, now the prime time to at least release DPP, it's been like 13 years and the little kids who played it back then are prime nostalgia fag material now but they won't because it isnt kanto.

I have 4 words for you.

Get used to it.

Ever since people bitched about BW only having new mons (despite having access to older mons again right after the story, which for Unova is like halfway through the region) and Go's release bringing back all the nostalgic genwunners, GF has been forever locked into a Kanto whoring phase. X/Y's constant pandering was the start (Santalune Forest is a 1:1 of Viridian Forest, you're just flat out given a Kanto starter near the start of the game, Mewtwo and the bird trio are just there for no reason, ect.). Then Sun and Moon with your character moving from Kanto to Alola, all Alolan forms were Kanto mons, an "Alolan Prof. Oak", and so on.

But Go was easily the worst offender. Let's Go existed solely to try and coax genwunners and their children on the Switch after they were already hooked on Go, even to the point of removing all non-Kanto mons wholesale aside from a couple outliers (and oh look, what an omen of what was to come with Dexit).

The only light at the end of the tunnel is the new Zigzagoon line regional forms and recent credible leaks hinting towards other non Kanto forms such as Girafarig and Sudowoodo. But even then it's evident they're still gonna Kanto whore with the Champion showboating a fucking Charizard and Kanto mons in general still being on the forefront of SWSH's marketing.

Yeah I have to agree with you about Let's Go, not only did they slap on Mega Evolutions and shiny forms to the Kanto Dex (to expand GF's Kanto whoring situation) GF even decided to remove competitive items for PvP. I wanna assume that many Lets Go players who usually participate in competitive probably whined about that-anyway Lets Go was meant to be aimed for kids so why do I bother to mention that?

Hell I didn't even realise that the fanbase bitched about BW not having their favourite Pokemon early in the game (maybe because I was young and wasn't introduced to Pokemon at the time). Then again, there was always a shitty, toxic side to the Pokemon fanbase and it's getting worse as time goes by with the whole #BringbackNationalDex and SwSh graphics problem since many toxic people decide to act like toddlers to others and some even attempt to defend GF after the whole "lack of animation on a powerful console device" thing began by spewing out poor excuses like "Then try animating every move for each Pokemon" or some crap like that.

(I hope I don't sound too autistic)

This whole Dexit fiasco is reminding me of the shitshow that was The Sims 4 on launch, with all of the missing features that previous Sims games had, i.e. no Swimming pools, toddlers, family trees, ghosts, terrain editing, family trees, you name it. Granted, EA did eventually add those things back to the same, some as free updates. Is this Dexit fiasco as a whole even more autistic compared to TS4's poor launch though or no?

As much as i'd like a proper remake of gen IV and V (specially gen V) it most likely won't happen, if anything it will be a Johto remake, as a Lest's Go! game, i can already see it, Let's Go! Pichu & Marill, i mean, it would make sense all things considered, it will be a game quick and cheap to make, and a perfect excuse to sell more Kanto nostalgia all over again

Well during my last stretch of the busy season, Game Freak finally revealed they are keeping the Apology concept for Mega Evolution.

Good thing too. If that rumored Galar Magcargo is true, that's probably going to make it the first Pokémon based on an animal from my country.

The apology what? And where have you heard about a Galarian Magcargo?

Yeah that new trailer was pretty good
If the leak is true we might be getting a new one on the 16th ((Worlds))

It's a shame you got the vultures like Twip who did a video on the same day and nitpicked it all to hell - Even his complaints of "it's too similar to sun and Moon' are really getting annoying.

Look, I understand people are upset over the decision for SWSH, but a lot of the dexit guys are REALLY reaching now just to be negative about it.

EDIT:

Like, holy shit, he complains about there being Galarian forms... And says Sword and shield are stealing too much from Sun and Moon...

I legit have to ask if this guy has EVER picked up a pokemon game before Sun and Moon, since pokemon is NOTORIOUS for repeating gameplay stuff and taking things from previous generations.

EDIT 2:

So here's a fun little thing:

BTW, you won't find the tweet.

TWIP took it down because people got on his case for 'colored', https://twitter.com/twip98/status/1160681694036398080

I know he made the tweet, since he actually references it here:

And he points out 'similarities'

Jesus Christ I didn't think Twip would get really salty over SwSh by nitpicking more stuff after complaining about Dexit, the lack of unique move animations, and game graphics. I watched his video about the move animations for SwSh and I was agreeing with him for the majority of the time but now that you mentioned him nitpicking other stuff it's like he's more of a child than a regular adult.

And why the hell is he even complaining about the similarities of Hau and Hop? Sure, they're strongly similar but that whole topic used to be mentioned by others after the whole shitstorm with said problems was popular with other poketubers. Because of this I suspect his other videos about SwSh are as boring as other videos that mention the same problems.

I highly doubt that the Hau/Hop "problem" will even affect any gameplay but I do know that many people will continue to mention this to take the piss out of GF (but hey, they'll probably ignore them or ""slightly"" change minor animations to Hop). It saddens me that people are trying to make GF give what they want by continuously making discussion videos about the same topics mentioned by every other person and think that this will grant their wishes.

There's little to no distinction between any of the characters, especially in recent games, other than looks which really takes away from the game imo. At most it's just basic character tropes that are never interesting or never really get flushed out, some times it's a good vs bad but eeeeh even the bad guys usual relent and see the error of their ways and leave. The only defining trait Hau has is he likes Masalada's and maybe the pressure to best his grandpa so I guess as long as Hop has literally any other trope then yeah I suppose he might be a bit different... though his big bro is the champion so the whole "pressure to best his big bro" is a trait he probably has.

Look, the Main character has had the same soulless eyes since X and Y, not a hint of personality in them, just an empty corpse- I mean avatar. If you're expecting the rivals to be vastly different when they keep giving you the most deadpan self insert then you're kidding yourself.

If you can play it while not noticing/ignoring all of that then I'm jealous, red dead 2 has ruined me and I can't get over just how vapid pokemon. I love it but I hate it, nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

Protagonists for all Pokémon games has always been a player expy, someone you’re meant to think of as yourself. Comparing that to a protagonist specifically written to be their own person with a history, flaws, personality, ect doesn’t work, it’s a different narrative. You’d have to compare Pokémon protagonists to other “insert yourself here” protagonists like Xenoverse or White Knight Chronicles. It’s not a character you’re following through the Pokémon League, it’s you.

idk, I'm conflicted here. On the one hand the nitpicking is getting a little excessive. Pokemon's been a series about repetition since day one just from Pokemon tropes alone (there's always 3 starters, a first route rodent, first route bird, ect.) so SWSH is no different by any means.

At the same time though he does have something of a point with it seemingly copy/pasting similar beats to Alola in particular. The overly friendly "rival" who's laid back and barely tries (the 1:1 animation people love to throw around doesn't help), the edgy/jerkass "true" rival to offset the friendly one, only this time split into two separate characters (Marnie and Bede), an "evil" team that's clearly not going to be the main threat and is just a light distraction for your team to mow down in droves, a regional variant of a first route mammal for said team to spam into the ground (and it just happens to be Normal/Dark again), and finally some corporate head who totally means well and definitely isn't the true main villain at all.

Pretty much. Although, is there really a game that does the whole "INSERT YOURSELF HERE" character thing better than the others that doesn't go into 4th wall breaking territory?

I mean, Pokémon was always the “take on eight gyms while also fighting the bad team that was just bad” plot. Sun/Moon was the first one to actually mix it up with a “fakeout” villain team, multiple rivals, ect. So it’s the same they’ve always done, just with following the new formula as opposed to the old one.

I’m not saying people can’t be annoyed by it, but these aren’t new issues and acting like this is the first game to do it is kinda silly.

Persona games maybe? The protagonists are technically their own character, but you can still name them whatever you want, choose who they hang out with/date/ect. They kinda straddle the line between “character you’re following” and “player expy”.
