If you enjoy youtube comment sperging the videos posted the last couple days on the 50th anniversary of the moon landing is a gold mine. You can tell right away based on the like/dislike ratio of the video just how bad the comments in that particular video are going to be.

Her two videos were heavily promoted by Youtube, and some people have even reported being auto subscribed to her channel when they've never even heard of her in the first place.

Due to the fact that Defranco and the Youtube twitter shilled her, and the fact that she is a young, conventionally attractive POC woman living a quirky millennial lifestyle and making advertiser-friendly content about it (therefore, a perfect fit in their Youtube rewinds), many have suspected Youtube's role in her channel growth. Conspiracy theories have popped up ranging from her being a paid actor to the channel being propaganda by Youtube normalizing homelessness.

That's why I don't understand the conspiracy theories, especially since people have reported constantly being recommended Breadtuber videos. Even memology's theory that sub counts are hidden so Youtube can boost channels doesn't make much sense, it's more about Youtube trying to maintain its advertiser friendly sanitized atmosphere. Keep in mind that happened after the ProJared and James Charles stuff made watching channels lose subs a big thing for a bit, which doesn't mesh with Youtube's "positivity" image.

I have been following this since it started gaining attention, and you can tell there is something fishy going on here for sure. I think we are dealing with bought subs which would explain why some people subbed automatically without them knowing about it. This is not the work of youtube but a huge botnet of hacked accounts, probably from one of the facebook database leaks

Commentary:
This is about the only hot take I disagree with. While I will agree that Michael does have some similarities to The Death of a Salesmen the reaso he’s so successful is because if he wasn’t the show wouldn’t be able to continue for like 7 seasons with him; not because of some commentary.
I don’t have much to say on this one besides that I agree that the camera crew was poorly adapted into the show.
This one I found interesting as on rewatching the show I was surprised how straight Jim 2 and Dwight 2 were played. It’s the exact same love triangle but with absolutely no irony. This is even more interesting as a similar thing was pulled in the X files episode “Babylon” from season 10. In it two new agents agent Miller, a brown haired believer in the paranormal, and agent Einstein, a red haired medical doctor and skeptic. Yet in the x files it was played purely for a gag and to mock Fox when they suggested replacing Mulder and Scully Witt younger agents to attract a younger audience.
This was actually a pretty good Big joel video one of his best in recent memories, and goes to show why Big joel is probably the best media analysis bredtuber. He can actually do a video that’s subtle and isn’t just going “and Toy Story is about capitalism, and nihilism, and existentialism, and capitalism, and neoliberalism, and woody is like a capitalist realist and struggling with nihilism and existentialism see I’m smart I can say capitalism bad and read the Wikipedia page for existentialism and nihilism”.
