I'm having strong doubts that this is real and just someone doing this for attention because of the stuff going on with Srowd and Shield it feels like drama for the sake of drama.

Well, off the top of my head, there was this one guy who went after MandJTV, then again, that guy's got his own drama surrounding him from a couple months back, so I'm not sure if that counts.

Just took a look at his channel and gotta say, seems like your typical poketuber and sounds like a fuckboy. Watch a few seconds of his "30 Pokemon I don't want in sword and shield" and the first two entries made me hate him.

Essentially, in it he says that he doesn't view it as a few things she says as gendered issues, she comes off as a hypocrite, and how her delivery is bad (oh and getting things wrong about claiming that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 didn't have any women working on the game at any point, and calling the creator of Dahlia (The furry trash big boobed web blade) a horny teenage gamer).

The biggest issue had was that Jubilee just couldn't take criticism, or jokes, even from a softie like MK, who actually agreed with her at points.
Both her and MandJTV should be listed as cows.
Oh, and to add to this drama, someone found a clip of MandJ telling a fan to go kill himself for just speaking a little coarse to Jubilee.

Thing is, if they had just said, "Hey, sorry, we can't make that deadline with all thousand pokemon, you can download a patch in another month or two with the rest in there." I would have given no fucks. It takes me a while to play through a game anyways, wouldn't have been a problem. It's the fact that they seem disinclined to ever do the work to migrate the rest of the pokemon that is making me not feel like getting this game.

What also needs to be considered is that Pokemon home wouldn't be available until next year. Like... Five months after the games' releases.
They could've had more time to do that.

Exactly, considering how long it took 7th Gen to become compatible with Bank, and how long it took for Bank to become functional during 6th Gen, with it having to be pulled and refined for a couple of months, I would've understood if the initial run of the game only started out with its Regional Dex. Patching in the National Dex around the time Home would be up and running would be a good way of going about things.

Come to think of it, isn't Pokemon easy enough to where you usually don't need to cherry-pick your favorite critters? Of course, Diamond & Pearl had a shitty selection of fire-types; but that was years ago.
It's more about people being upset that some of their favorites might be left behind and forgotten. I know I got a few Pokemon all the way from Fire Red that I really like and leveled to one-hundred that have gotten all the way to freaking Alola and there is a very real chance I won't be able to send them to Sword and Shield or any gen beyond that. I've had some of those Pokemon for over a decade, and yeah, they might just be pieces of data, but like an old toy, piece of furniture, or painting, I've grown attached to those bunched of 1's and 0's and are sad to see them left in the dust.

Apparently, Game Freak has been silent in Japan about what's going with the new games and its causing a lot of strife between them and the Japanese fan base. It's important to remember that Japan is their primary market so if the Japanese are growing furious, things are not looking peachy for Game Freak.

Apparently, Game Freak has been silent in Japan about what's going with the new games and its causing a lot of strife between them and the Japanese fan base. It's important to remember that Japan is their primary market so if the Japanese are growing furious, things are not looking peachy for Game Freak.

I initially advocated on here that's how I assumed it was going to be.
I'm guessing now that they are serving up this shit sandwich to get the fans to accept it before it's a requirement. They really should of been more prepared but, Nintendo has a habit of doing what they do and not caring how upset it makes the internet.
Their handling of it is exceptional. They should of been prepared for this reaction. Say the game would of taken another year to complete with national Dex, that it will be fleshed out with others games coming in the generation, etc.
Even if it's bullshit and they just want to cut costs, have an excuse ready.

That's just the thing though, they don't want to say anything now because odds are, if they are gonna change their minds, it will be for some future title(s) so they can use that as a selling point like some kind of scummy loophole withholding tactic not unlike DLC in other games specifically withheld from the finished product right at launch. After all, why update something for free when you can instead profit from adding them in a later installment.
And they can't say something like "They'll all be back in Gun version" or whatever now because that would kill sales for SWSH even more than the state they are in currently.
